Every time I watch this video, I always rewind it back to this priceless promo. The other promos in this video I can do without. This was the best promo EVER!

George Steele was one of a select few who was managed by all three of the Wise Men of the East, Fred Blassie, Lou Albano, and the Grand Wizard. Others include Blackjack Mulligan, Professor Tanaka, and Butcher Vachon.

George Steele was actually a pretty good promo man before VKM turned him into a buffoon. Even though he didn't wrestle that much in Detroit, this is where he's from and started his career. The few times George Steele wrestled in Detroit (as himself) in the early to mid-1970s (he was still teaching in Madison Heights), he cut some pretty sweet promos. I'll never forget the first time I heard the phrase "daddy-o" was a George Steele promo.
