He's not on roids but he has every single thing close to it like any other fighter has , they have performance chemicals from chemists so close to them , Gsp has the best trainers , best everything and that's why Nick has pestered him for years , diaz had a better record and more fights that's why he talked shit , diaz is a nice guy like him but UFC is nasty

I am truly excited for the gsp diaz fight. Both fighters demand a great deal of respect and have accomplished a lot within the sport of MMA. No matter the outcome it should be an interesting fight. GSP is a well spoken and modest champion and his desire to fight the best should go without saying. While Nick Diaz is often times outspoken, he is also a humble individual who only desires to fight the best and to be the best. Should be a great match up!

I don't think there is any question that GSP was hurt and made the wise choice. He has a long record of defending his title and is a first class guy. Having said that, he has nott been in the ring with a fighter quite like Nick Diaz. This is going to happen, and it is going to be one of the most watched events in sports history. Gracie & Diaz are doing exactly what they should, and GSP is playing it straight, as he always does. A great event, and it is shaping up very well for all of us.

@warLock21X well said.. and I don't think GSP plays it safe. What Clay Guida does sometimes wrestling and holding on to position like he did with Nate Diaz is playing it safe.. for the people who doubt that.. take a closer look at GSP fights and notice how he is always working to advance position and do damage at the same time.. he dose not play it safe he plays it smart.

And all he thinks is my family I got to run for my family, while real fighters say I got to fight for my family - not run in the cage. He is a nobody and 1 day no one will remember him. But Diaz will always be remembered as the guy who came to fight. Later NOOB!

@permos12345: Listen to this interview... Ceasar Gracie is in his head as well. Also, George stated in other interviews something along the lines of if he's walking around with his fists 1/2 clenched & ready to go, or if he's in a situation like he's riding in an elevator it stops & Nick walks into the elevator he will defend himself. LOL Like Nick is a thug who goes around beating people down. That my friend, is how you know Nick is in Georges head, Big Time.

GSP are you kidding me? I do not believe for one second you could make 155. If that's true do it, just do it, record it on video. In one take show that the scale is acurate then get on and show us you at 155. I read stuff saying you walk around near 200, NO WAY you make 155. With that said, I think the point is 185 would be huge for you, I assume you in shape no cut weigh 185. So you'd be a tiny guy for that division.

I agree, but only if Nick could manage to keep the fight standing. GSP's main strategic plan would be to get Diaz to the ground as quick as possible at the beginning of each round, then hope that he could lay and pray for the remainder of the round. This Greg Jackson camp really pisses me off.......Conduit runs from Diaz and wins and GSP would more than likely ground hump him to death, in order to get the victory. Hendricks vs Diaz would be a better fight, IMO.

Looking back 1-He beat up an over-the-hill Penn. 2-He was rocked by then beat Daley who was DESTROYED by Kos, who was decimated by GSP. 3-He took 10 minutes to put away Santos whose record is 18-15, and has never beaten anybody worth mentioning. 4-He beat Noons whose biggest claim to fame was beating Diaz and Yves Edwards 5 years ago. And an over the hill Sakurai. He isn't in the same league as GSP. - Sorry man.

Whether Nick Diaz will beat GSP doesn't matter, whether it would be an entertaining fight it doesn't matter. What matters is Dana effed up, he had the perfect opportunity to get a tonne of PPV dollars with the GSP vs Diaz fight. This is another fight which MMA fans will not get to see (other: Anderson Silva vs GSP). Nick Diaz was the one that instigated the fight with George and he got penalised for not turning up to some stupid press conference.

@BlueEyedNative90 I agree. Admittedly, I don't think either fighter is trying to get out of fighting the other. I'm sure some part of Nick still wants the fight despite his emotional loss and Georges has even gone as far to say he'd be willing to vacate his belt if it was necessary to get the match-up. As for when Rush jumped up, I didn't count that one because I suspect it was just a minor tweak (knock on wood!!!!). I figure if it was serious, it'd be all over mma headlines.

@BlueEyedNative90 Two times, actually. It was also Diaz who didn't show up to two press-conferences. Diaz was the one who snuck out the backdoor of Cesar's house and hid from everyone too. Not sayin either was scared but really, it looks far worse for Diaz. Especially when he knowingly loads his system with ganja so even if he had won, he couldn't fight Georges. He's really going out of his way to make sure he never fights GSP.

Only then did he get 'injured' worse and that was even after the Bj Penn/ Diaz fight and he can still walk and run. Basically Nick and GSP were supposed to fight, GSP strained a muscle.... (so what so did Nick lol) and got scared and called off the fight 3 weeks before when it could have even easily got better and wasn't that bad because he was still training with ease. After Nick fought BJ, GSP then says he is badly injured in his other leg from training. GSP could have should have fought

Nick Diaz, Cheal Sonnen, many other MMA fighters are injured during training or before the fight. But they dont call the fight off 3 weeks before like 'oh I have lightly sprained my knee' (thats exactly what GSP did, and all that was wrong was his knee was strained) They train through it and train lightly do what they can do and turn up to the fight the best they can because they are fighter not scared and its their job. GSP called the fight off 3 weeks before hardly hurt and was TRAINING

I love Nick Diaz... But him and the MMA fans are delusional if they think GSP is scared when he cancelled his fight with Condit just to fight Diaz... Not to mention when has Nick Diaz ever been successful against a wrestler... Under the strikeforce banner he never even fought a wrestler to protect his image and keep his win streak alive. The last 3 wrestlers he fought was Sherk, Sanchez, and Trigg which was a 3 fight losing streak. Now he's gonna call out GSP... He couldn't get by Kos or Fitch..

Also when people complain about him not being able to finish fights, neither cant his opponents finish him, yet they get no bullshit. I did some number crunching which you might find interesting; although most likely boring. Diaz wins by submisson 30% of the time to GSP's 22% and finishes by ko or tko 50% of the time compared to GSP's 40%. Granted GSP has a had much tougher opponents (depending on your stance on the quality of fighters not in the UFC). I'm not sure GSP will respect the ground game of Diaz as much as he did Shields. I haven't seen the videos of the losses to Sherk and Riggs - what kind of fights were they?

@MmaSmarty87, lmao u act like Nick is invincible and GSP is a bum. Nick wont be able to do shit with GSP on top of him. @MmaSmarty87 , Serra beat GSP with strikes but many guys have beat Diaz with wrestling and they were not as good as GSP. GSP doesnt have to pass Nick's guard or finish him after he gets him on the ground. All he has to do is some ground n pound and stay busy enough for the ref to not stand them back up. He will get a unanimous decision just by doing that. Diaz cant submit GSP from the bottom.

@GoodFellax21 i agree. gsp's control on the ground is unreal. comparably speaking, i think nick diaz can do better on the ground, whereas on the feet, i think gsp would take him to school. i can't understand when people think diaz would destroy gsp on the feet. he is only effective when his opponents let him walk them down. i wouldn't gsp is the greatest boxer of all time, but he is so much more fundamentally sound than diaz. just look at the trouble diaz had with kj noons.

I've been a boxing nerd all my life. i can say this much with confidence. its more dangerous for gsp to be on the ground with diaz than it is for him to strike with diaz for 5 full rounds. diaz does not know how to use angles when punching, nor does he cut the ring off effectively to get in position. the sheer speed of gsp's jab would bewilder diaz to no end, let alone gsp's movement. people think so much of diaz's "boxing," but they fail to understanding that he only knows how to punch not box.

@MmaSmarty87 While that is true, Diaz can't afford to stand there infront of GSP with his hands down. That's just a recipe for disaster with GSP throwing jab after jab after jab. Diaz needs to work with Jake NONSTOP to defend the takedown and be able to get a sub going. The fight will eventually hit the ground, there is no denying that, it's just how Diaz works off his back that'll decide the winner in my opinion. This fight might bring back the old GSP... Who knows.

@MmaSmarty87 first of all, diaz has mostly fought tin cans in strikeforce. gsp fights only the top of the top. when diaz was in the ufc the first time his record was 6-4. thats horrible. the people he beat in the ufc were pracitcally nobodies, but when ever he fought a half decent name he lost (sherk, sanchez, riggs, etc) bj penn has no motivation anymore, u can see he isnt the same, beating him means nothing. @soSiccK But ur right I think GSP Beats Condit and Diaz with his wrestling. But I still think Condit & Diaz are the most well rounded fighters & most dangerous fighters that GSP has every faced. I think GSP is goin do the same thing he did when he fought BJ in the 2nd fight.Hes goin Dirtybox against the cage&tire the arms&legs of Condit&Diaz. So they both would have no power in their strikes.GSP is only taking down them to score pts cause he knows both Condit&Diaz R dangerous of their backs:)

GSP looked like he was about to cry when Nick said "I don't think Georges is hurt, he's just scared." Be an interesting fight. People need to realize though that GSP won't be able to just jabspam or leghump Nick Diaz like he did to Kos, Hardy or BJ... Nick keeps pushing forward even if he's taking damage. I mean look at the BJ Penn fight. BJ was hurting him bad in the 1st and 2nd... Nick kept coming. GSP doesn't pack nearly as much power as BJ on the feet. Only nuthuggers think he does.

@rip93ford Dude... UFC made GSP vs Diaz official for super bowl weekend Condit "stepped aside". I agree Condit is the number 1 contender but because of all the shit Diaz and his fat trainer have been talking about 80% of the fans would rather see that then 20% who would see the Condit fight. They must have given Condit a SHIT LOAD of money for this, but he's fighting on the same card and if he wins he gets the shot against winner of GSP/Nick. GSP just wants to smash Nick's face in

@gingerbreadboy why beg to fight a fighter who cannot even hold his side of the contract ? It is a business as well as a sport, GSP doesn't care who he fights as he has said, Dana lines them up and he fights, Condit is every bit as deserving as Diaz is for a title shot. I am not knocking Diaz's skill set, I am saying his personality is stupid and his lack of responsibility is his problem, he blames everyone but himself for his mistakes

He said nick was one of the best several times, all he said negative was Nick didn't keep his end of the fight deal and now he doesn't deserve the shot because of that How is he scared of Nick Diaz ? He accepted the fight twice now ! And when Dana offered to put Condit aside for the time being so him and Diaz can fight super bowl weekend GSP stepped right up... Pay attention to interviews, you are pulling a diaz now by talking out your ass and it makes no sense

@osocafe5 Like I said walking isn't a problem....it's lateral movement or moving from side to side if you don't know what that means. And at his level of competition any little thing could turn into a big disadvantage because of how good everyone else.....I take it you're not a top tier fighter so you obviously wouldn't know what he's talking about.....frickin keyboard warrior.....

i wouldnt trash talk condit, he has had many great fights and great finishes. nick's style is to get his opponent mad and have them get tired. condit managed to keep composure, stick and move and avoid getting worn down. Muhammad ali did pretty much the same thing as condit. i way prefer diaz to condit btw, i just think condit deserves credit.

i didn't like the fight either but condit has finished 85% of his fights watch some of his wec fights and early ufc judging on one fight sounding off as a diaz fan which isn't bad he's a real fighter but he lost unless you have proof don't call it rigged their is no real money in ufc to rig fights yet like they do in boxing

That's because all of his fights are legit! He fights only the best! And hes injured dude! He wants to be 100% when he fights! He'll eat condit alive. Condit may be a talented fighter but he's no GSP. I hope that once He walks through condit he'll destroy Diaz just so you'll know how great he actually is.

@BlueEyedNative90 What?? I'm pretty sure he and Penn got the Fight of the Night bonus in addition to other undisclosed bonuses. Whatever Dana's feelings towards Nick, he'll always try to put together the big fight for big money. Based on that, I would be shocked if Dana didn't try to set up more fights for Nick post-suspension! lol I'm betting on Mr .White's ambition.

@themadsuck Don't you remember Nick Diaz running from press conferences that GSP and him were supposed to have? He backed out of the fight by purposely not showing up to promote the fight. Carlos didn't talk shit and he fought smart. He landed more shots than Nick for most of the fight. Stop crying, fanboy.

@imhungry4444 Just because Diaz strikes with guys doesnt mean he beats them at their own game take Diego Sanchez for example Sanchez took Diaz down constantly and won if GSP fought Sanchez he would take Sanchez down (beating him at his own game) and stop Sanchez's takedowns. I mean Diaz is good but GSP and even Condit are big steps in competition. Am I right? Or am I right?

@xEffectsx Reexamine your life, because your statement OOZES ignorance. You watch MMA for the wrong reasons my friend. MMA is a thinking man's game, not some gladitorial deathmatch. Uneducated mentalities like yours are what holds humanity back from accomplishing great deeds. Your energy is negatively influencing the human species, please realign yourself. Find harmony.

why all the shit talkin they r going to fight and no matter what anyone on here says 2 top top fighters r gonna get it on yes gsp hasnt had to fight outside of his comfort zone for the last few fights its not his fault none of his last few opponents were good enough but now in diaz we will see both fighters really testing each other so just sit back and enjoy people

@MmaSmarty87 when was the last time someone tried to fight GSP? Josh Koscheck tried, got his orbital broken and couldnt train or go on planes for a longgg time. And dont sit here and try to say "Well Koscheck sucks" Because Koscheck beat Diego Sanchez, and Sanchez beat Diaz lol. So you have no argument.

Hope Diaz whoops Gsp. Chances are he won't. But I'd like to see it happen since Gsp bores me. Plus Diaz is always exciting.. I just don't think Diaz could defeat a prime Gsp just because he defeated an over the hill BJ Penn.. Much rather see Condit Vs. GSP. I think Condit would have a much better chance.

@soSiccK Funny I know prefight haters like u were saying BJ would Destroy Nick..or the famous line...Nick Diaz wont stand a chance against the UFC's Top Welterweights..Fitch, Alves, Hardy, Hughes, BJ Penn, Calos Condit..one down..next he will make GSPs face look llike a tomatoe and GSP will tap to punches like he did SERRA...

@MrSecretspy007 Dan Hardy got the shit kicked out of him? LOL. I admit GSP won handily and I'm a GSP fan, but in no way did he get the shit kicked out of him. Unless you mean he got outwrestled the whole fight, escaped all submission attempts, and barely got hit. I haven't seen the fight in awhile, but I don't even think Dan Hardy had a mark on him.

he beat people based on points... and according to the "UFC" rules he is the absolute best at 170... MAD PROPS to GSP!!! but if you take into account pure MMA (Pride rules included= head stomps, knees to down opponents and not to mention YELLOW CARDS etc) GSP's lay n pray tactics wouldn't be as effective nor dominant...

Nah, GSP will stalk around the outside, counter punching and kicking, and shooting for takedowns. you notice that nick diaz only has his boxing but GSP has the wider skill set to use kicks, feints and that superman punch. I think diaz won't be able to put the pressure on because of the longer range of kicks, keeping him on the outside.

@goldwold Haha you know where diaz came from? Strikeforce... he is a terrible fighter like most others that came from Strikeforce. He beat a guy who isn't a great WW BJ Penn is a legendary LW not WW and GSP isn't ducking him he thinks Diaz is good so he wants to be 100% for his shitty opponent in Nick Diaz.

i honestly want to know why gsp fans are gsp fans. when i watch him "fight" i fall asleep. he is a blanket with no skills.. except the skills of a blanket. the best is the people say "i fight so i know how impressive his use of the jab is" its not that impressive. i box too, congrats u can land a jab. try doing somethign else. this guy is anythign but a "rush".

What I find is that when people watch a video of someone, they will generally support them. This shows how fickle people are. I imagine if some Diaz nuthuggers watched this, a fair number of them would see reason. HOWEVER, GSP talking about his possible move to lightweight IS pussying out. There is NO WAY he has the build of a lightweight. Move up and fight Silva, please.:p

one day GSP will lose - and I fear its Nick Diaz that will knock GSP's head into Dana White's lap - after it has swollen to a cabbage. As for Gracie - shit stirrer, I wonder what percentage he is taking from Diaz? no wonder Diaz is so frigging broke after earning over $500,000 dollars in his last 5 fights !

@zaidbermamet I disagree. They have different styles and they're better in different areas. Nick's boxing is better and is more dangerous on the ground. George is better at wrestling and mixing the takedowns with the striking. Will be interesting on who can use their strengths effectively when they meet.

if GSP comes to fight, he will get hurt standing up or submitted by Nick but if he comes to HUG, he will get the win with no prob at all
