Georgia fan here. Georgia had three flat games this year: Kent State, Missouri, and Ohio State. Found ways to win though. It happens. TCU had a flat game. They are much better than 65 - 7. They also had class. I saw several instances where a TCU player helped a Georgia player up. Not common in college football. OU and Texas should hope they are placed in the SEC East. Sure you have to play Georgia and Tennessee and Florida (up and down years) and a few other decent teams but in the West you have to play Alabama, LSU, two Mississippi teams that can sometimes be good, an Auburn team that has sucked lately but can be really good, an Arkansas team you never know about, and Texas A&M that has been down but can be very tough to beat at home.

I think their just gonna do away with divisions. because there's no way they would put Oklahoma and Texas the farthest west teams in the east. they could move Alabama and auburn to the east since their the furthest east teams in the west. Georgia has been a juggernaut the past 2 seasons. They were as good, if not better, than the best Alabama teams during their heyday. And either Ohio State was better than advertised or Georgia was flat in that game because they barely eked out the win through some bad play calling on the very last series and a field goal attempt beyond their kicker’s ability. Georgia came out of the tunnel determined to show the world that they were the biggest, baddest most talented team in the country and literally dismantled TCU in every phase of the game. Once again, the SEC has 3-4 teams that dominate every year but the rest of the conference is no better than many teams in many conferences including the Big 12. The bigger question is how Texas and OU are going to step up their game to compete and be among the top 4-5 SEC teams or just be Kentucky and Mississippi.

To your question, UT and OU aren't going to step up their 'game'. The southwest 8 should reform with all it's original members. No more absorption of their defunct league with hopes of competing in the SEC. It's not going to happen. I've been, lived, worked, drove around and witnessed every city and state of the Big 8--different culture than the south. Indeed it is. How do you sell the dust bowl, extreme heat or swamplands (Arkansas) to a child? NIL? We have that too. Chance to go to the league? Better go to UGA or Bama. What else is there? Pretty girls? Ever seen a southern belle half nude at midnight with a sly grin and a bottle in her hand? Gonna trade that for grey soiled sally or some sun-burned Texas nutcase wearing a Stetson with pink hair? Good luck to Texas and Oklahoma. We said the same to A & M, Arkansas, South Carolina. Nothing has changed. In over 30 years You will get embarrassed but as long as everyone makes money who cares. Ohio State has a fine football team but UGA is more than 1 point better than the Buckeyes. Football is all about the matchups on that particular day, and that includes the officials chosen for this game. Pac 12 officials ignoring the most egregious holding calls by Ohio State allowed Stroud to have 6-8 seconds to wait for his WR's to break open. It stinks but it's part of the game, and Georgia had to keep finding ways to win. When you are Georgia and you are the best team in college football, finding ways to win is what you do.
