@@guadeschlogzeiger Hello Me Borlai, I recently discovered your playing and am a fan of your creative and unique voice on the kit. Specifically the use of non-traditional groupings for phrasing ideas. Really excellent. Do you teach? How might I get in contact with you regarding lessons. I am in San Francisco but have many friends in LA from my time at MI.

It's crazy to me how little people are aware of Gergo, evidenced by how this is probably one of the craziest and greatest videos on this series, yet the of the ones with the least views. This video series is fantastic, and I've been going through every single one of them and enjoying them greatly. Your playing is amazing, and the way you break things down is masterful. Crossing my fingers that the series will make a comeback at some point!

Great lesson Austin. This chop sounds great, especially with the lead kick into it. Gergo is a beast. You look like you sit fairly low on your throne. I've been struggling a bit with double kit so I decided to lower my throne a bit too and see how it goes. It actually feels better for my feet, just a lil more of a reach to get to my rack toms and crashes but I'm gonna try it out for a while.

Austin...I am convinced after watching a half dozen of your "Study the Greats" videos that you are just behind Mike Johnston (whom I think is the most important drum educator of our time) and in your own delivery, possibly even his equal. Totally appreciate your candor and methodology. I hope that this is what sustains you financially, because you are excellent. While I play professionally, I have not had a kit set up in my home in over 20 years and when I was sparked by a new project to start woodshedding again, I went first to Mike and then to you. So, thank you a ton for the inspiration and the education.

+RazorDrummer Thank you so much man, I really appreciate that. I really look up to what Mike has done in the drum community so to be compared to him in any capacity is very encouraging and motivation for me to keep doing what I'm doing. Thank you for the kind words...

Yea the Groove Ride is cool but I'm really wanting to get some darker, drier cymbals that are more fusion/jazz appropriate. Also, I have my full gear list on my website if you'd to see all the stuff I'm using in detail. Thanks
