One of the most impressive WW2 movies from this decade - "1944". The war is shown through the eyes of participants in the events on both warring sides - the Estonians who fought on the side of the German Army in the 20th Estonian division Waffen-SS, and as part of the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps of the Soviet Army.

In the era of the Soviet Union, losses in the Battle of Tannenberg Line were not mentioned in Soviet sources. In recent years, Russian authors have published some figures but not for the whole course of the battle. The number of Soviet casualties can only be estimated by looking at other figures. In the attack of 29 July, 225 men survived of the Soviet 109th Rifle Corps carrying the main weight of the assault. Of the 120th Rifle Division, 1,808 men were lost; killed or wounded. The rest of the Soviet rifle corps lost their capacity for further attacks. In the same attack, the German forces lost 600 men.

Stupid Estonian propaganda movie, their mentality "we kill a bunch of Russian hordes" because Estonia hates Russia. Irl, the Soviets crushed the Estonian SS where it stood whilst suffering less casualties. The Soviet troops massacred the untrained Estonian conscripts. So this is just another one of those Baltic delusions. Soviets running like zombies and not getting cover. Such insufferable people the Estonians are lmfao.
