3:21 and 3:57 why do we have to use stehen when the person is going to involve in the action? This test video is so good! Thank you so much! I absolutely enjoyed taking this test video after reviewing the Wechselpräpositionen!

In both sentences there are people, but they don't move an object from A to B, they are just standing there. Therefore the verb "stehen" is the correct choice in both sentences. 👍🙂🙏

@yourgermanteacher

Sehr gerne 😊👍🙏 In the sentence with the flamingos the 3rd person Plural is the correct choice as there are 3 flamingos standing in the water and it is written the same way like the infinitive. "sie/Sie stehen" 🙂🙏

Das war wunderbar! I had to pause a couple of seconds to process the multiple decisions (case, movement/no movement, conjugation), so maybe increasing timer from 5 seconds to 7-8 seconds ... but I LOVED this video! Please do more like these!
@yourgermanteacher

Vielen Dank für das Feedback. 🙂👍 It actually helps us a lot as we weren't sure about the timer... At first we thought about 10 seconds but realized that it might be too long. So I think you are right: 7-8 seconds should be perfect. 🙂🙏💯

Hi 👋 Although "an" is often/mostly used for water, but there are also other situations that it is used in... The meaning varies quite a lot: e.g. an der Ecke (at the corner) am Fenster (by the window) an der Wand (on the wall) am Bahnhof (at the train station) 👍🙂🙏

Aaaaaahhhhhhh. Ich habe es nicht verstehen, dass legen/liegen vershiedene Wörter waren! Ich habe gedacht, dass 'liegt' war einfach das dritte person singular. I did recognize that the word stellen had a meaning that something was in an upright position but never caught on that the difference between stehen and stellen had static vs. dynamic connotations. So now I am aware to look out that some verbs apply to a dynamic action where others apply more to states of being. Vielen Danke!

Another thing that will help me a lot is to find the print material for each video more easily. I have printed a lot of them but I can´t find the correct video. I´m sure is easy is just because I´m new to the material, to the language and to the course and soon or later I will find myself less lost in so much material. Maybe because is much better to watch the videos that we postpone the organization of the material. Maybe a number that correlates video with the print material will be easier. Your videos and all material is very good and I encourage everyone to pay for the course. Is really good.

Sensacional! I think this is the most perfect idea to help us to fix the grammar point. Maybe the little bottle or the book could stay a little longer to help the mnemonic process. For us we have to understand when we use it, that is easy, but through the exercises, we have to remember also declinations and the person and conjugation. We have to put all of this together, not only to know which verb to use. So for at least two sentences, we could keep seeing the image we associate with verbs with movement or not explained at the begining.
