Finally sokoninaru. They really master their instruments. Please check more of them, i suggest "Sokoninaru - Gou ni Moyu"

The reason why you feel it sounds like anime. Western rock follow the time tried classic rock chord progressions (albeit originate from the Blues) still perpetuated by the likes of Berklee School of Music and so forth. Japanese do not follow that. They use slightly different chord progressions at times and their own musical melodies that they developed. And since these rocks/metal songs are prevailing used in much of the anime theme songs, naturally you will associate Japanese rock/metal songs with anime songs. You have to get that out of your brain.

Sokoninaru is a band formed in Osaka in 2011. Drummer is not an official member. He started out as a copy-band of the Japanese band "Ling tosite Sigure". The name "Soko ni naru" doesn’t have a particular meaning but it contains the word "naru" (Japanese: 鳴る, meaning: to sound).I first met and listened to Sokoninaru and thought they had surpassed their Ling tosite Sigure roll models, however when I started listening to Ling tosite Sigure as well, I’m not sure anymore. Bands have a lot of similarities, but also differences. In any case, it is a great pleasure and privilege to know about both bands. To continue listening Sokoninaru, I recommend: "Metalin" kzitem.info/news/bejne/zYyi1oqHmKWJpIY "Gou Ni Moyu" kzitem.info/news/bejne/r6JqwGmcbYOoeI4, "Zettaiteki Sanpunkan" kzitem.info/news/bejne/royu0mSwkYxzhWk "White for" kzitem.info/news/bejne/qpyqs5x9bpWcaYY (A beautiful "normal" emotional song that confirms that Misaki has the most beautiful vocals among bassists.) The band also still often record incredibly good covers that sometimes surpass the original songs. I recommend cover from LUNA SEA - ROSIER kzitem.info/news/bejne/z2ym0W17nGSHZqQ To meet Ling tosite Sigure I recommend, "Telecastic fake show" kzitem.info/news/bejne/zaePqYGuoZmWhoo (More dynamic song, where you can see the similarity with Sokoninaru) or "Boukan - live" kzitem.info/news/bejne/tXemqKmPmopyY3o (a "slower" song that turns into an emotional bomb). I also recommend listening to their masterpiece, the album: Just a Moment

I'll put my vote in for Band-Maid, because I'm a rocknroller at heart, and prefer good hard rock over power metal and the like. If you also swing towards rock, you def want to check out Band-Maid. Wirmish wasn't kidding when he said "all their songs...really!" - because they are that good. Band-Maid is incredibly diverse and creative, so you'll scratch your head after some songs and think, "Is this the same band?" - but here is one of their (heavier) recent songs to check out: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mq96mX2nq36lg6A. Here is a mid-tempo ballad: kzitem.info/news/bejne/s3mXy4mhq3ulrI4. Here is an old-school classic style rocker: kzitem.info/news/bejne/u6Z3v6KMg4pqdo4. Enjoy!

i know exactly what you mean by "i can see how this wouldn't be for some people, but it's exactly everything i want." it's funny to me that people always describe them as "random/chaotic" because no element of their music is actually random, it's all incredibly tightly composed and immaculately executed. yes, all of their songs are worth checking out, but Gou Ni Moyu, Complicated System, or Lament Moment are good for next.

You’re right, that was stupid to think this sounds like anime! So many Westerners can only think anime when it comes to Japan - shows the mind control Japan has over you. 😂 This band has 2 highly skilled musicians,in case you can’t tell. That’s the great thing about Japan, the variety of music with different genres. Japan has the second largest music industry after the US. They don’t just produce gimmicky shit like Korea with kpop. Too bad you aren’t smart enough to know great musicianship when you hear it.😂

Go take your hate somewhere else. I think it's pretty obvious, that I very much appreciate the musicianship that's on display here. Also I'm not into kpop, but I don't appreciate your senseless hate either. ;)
