Marzipan is not a flavour, it is the filling. Marzipan, or bread of Mars, is made from almonds, sugar and rose water. It is a stable sweet in Germany especially for christmas. The main producer are in Lübeck and Lübecker Marzipan is best known for it's quality. Often you find small figurines made from Marzipan, like pigs or potatoes, most of them without chocolade. And of course, Ritter has it included in its selection. And as someone who lives 20km away from the factory and has eaten Ritter from childhood on, my favorites are Rum, Trauben, Nuss (rum, raisins, nuts), Olympia (some strange filling that has been brought on the market in 1972 for the Munich Olymic games and was discontinued for 30 years), Hazelnut, whole almonds, and all the others. Btw. it should be opened by breaking over the first row.

Thanks for your comment Jakob, I stand corrected by confusing flavour with filling. Is Ritter a popular brand in Germany? I’ve visited Boppard in school and the Rhein was behind our hotel. I’ve seen videos of your Christmas markets which look fantastic and me and VWilson92 are really enjoying Ritter’s products but I did not enjoy Riesen which was very chewy. Feel free to subscribe and send any products to us for trial if you like, ich liebe Ritter! 👍
