@@thebeez6469 to both of you: Customer visited the UPS place. (As for contacting them otherwise, check to see if web site offers a contact-us page.) As for the 2 customer-service ladies, C.S often has limited tools/limited abilities to fix things. (though the 2 ladies might have "campaigned" a fix personally.) As for THE cause, it is my guess that each address has a detailed GPS location so the computer can map out the best route, 300 South had the wrong coordinates. The delivery driver stops at A,B,C ... with "B" in my example being 300, and the driver sees 300 so off the van it comes. All the other packages were for the North part of town. Does this make sense or should I try different words? My case, No GPS involved, but there are 3 houses number 20 on streets very close to each other. (1 is a cross street). The 3 houses are almost sequential on the delivery route. The postman sees "20" and doesn't look at the street.

I had an ongoing issue with FedEx in Madison CT. I would get regular large packages of dog/cat food and litter delivered. The driver would deposit these cartons directly in front of my garage door which meant I couldn’t get in or out of the bay without having to get out of the car and move them myself which was extremely difficult because of hand/wrist arthritis. There was a standard entry door next to the garage bays 15’ away, to which he could easily pull his truck up to. Half dozen phone calls with the regional manager yielded nothing but sympathy and empty promises to correct this. One day I saw him do it and kicked the boxes aside, hopping in my car and following him to next neighborhood wherein I blocked his truck. I asked him if it was the case that his supervisor told him not to drop my boxes in front on my garage door. He immediately got aggressive, defensive, and argumentative. I asked h why he just couldn’t accommodate this request. I left because he was never going to be reasonable and irrational people are not worth confronting. I finally resolved the problem with Chewy, the pet supplier, to use UPS.

I had a similar problem with a manufacturing company in our town. But it wasn’t just one carrier, it was all of them, including the post office! I once had a knock on the door and, when I opened it, I saw a semi truck in the street and a very confused truck driver on my porch, saying he was there to pick up a shipment! I gave him directions to get him to the right place and we both had a good laugh. What I learned from all of this was that the sorting machines that everyone uses only look at the number and the first four letters of the street name. Since both street names started with Mar, they defaulted to the first street name they came to and, because MARItime comes before MARTinez, I got their stuff. Sounds like this guy has the same issue because North comes before South in alphabetical order. I’m glad to hear he got it resolved for the time being.

Lol I used to manage a lawncare company with thousands of customers and a small fleet of trucks going out every day. There were always 4 or 5 new customers that would constantly get mixed up, especially if the house numbers were small like "345 W Broadway" or something like that. The GPS would take you to "345 E Broadway" every single time. The guy running the route would see the note to make sure he was at the right house, he would pull up pictures from our customer database and see pictures of the wrong house, be at the wrong house, then do their lawn and the actual customer would automatically get charged once the tech was done with the yard 😂 and immediately call the office and just get mad in general. It sucked because if the customer didn't notify us, we would have no idea that a lawn had been getting charged for no work being done and another guy was getting free service. Months would go by and the customer's lawn would be in horrible shape with them thinking we will eventually get it under control, only for it to keep getting worse 😂 One of the confusing lawns got sprayed with pre emergent 4 times in like 2 weeks and just killed the whole lawn. I had to put like 60 gallons of concentrated liquid activated carbon down on this yard, use a bobcat with a box blade to scrape the dead turf off, put down 15 cubic yards of topsoil, and lay 5,000 square feet of sod. They liked how well we fixed the problem and they ended up signing up for our service. We associated the customer accounts so one would never get done on a different day than the other and they never had another mixup again. I got 4 other customers from technicians backing into their brick mailboxes that one of the maintenance guys would rebuild. We would never do a patchwork job on anything we broke or damaged, always brand new and better than before replacement.

I called them many times, emailed them, chatted with them, visited their location multiple times. They would see the address and decide I didn’t live where I told them and deliver elsewhere. It took me blasting them repeatedly on their Facebook page to finally correct it. It sucks because we aren’t the customer, the vendor is. It is basically because a lot of FedEx drivers don't make a lot of money. They are contractors. They are simply going by what their handheld is telling them. FedEx does not have his actual address in their system therefore it defaults to the south address. They are not looking at the actual address label and are just in a hurry to get it done. If there was a regular driver he should have caught it and started delivering to the proper address but chances are they were always swapping drivers for that area. I'm not trying to defend them by any means. I am a firm believer that if you take a job do it right and do it well no matter how much the pay is. When you lives are at stake you would think folks would want it fixed but when I reported it to the company, nothing happened. This went on for months. What normally would be a 3-4 minute response would turn into a 30 minute response. FedEex, UPS and DHL were easy fixes compared to the post office. I got so fed up with it that I paid for a PO box. Did that fix it you ask. No. No it did not. It did not because the trailer hitch factory did the exact same thing and theirs was one digit off from mine! My head nearly exploded. What I couldn’t fix was every GPS and map application available. One day I answered my door to find a very confused man on the porch and a semi at the curb. He said he was there to pick up a shipment and I replied, “Dude. What do you think I make in my kitchen?”. We had a laugh and I told him how to get where he needed to go. I sometimes wonder if the new owner still has that problem.

I used to work for FedEx and this isn't a "hard fix". You simply put a notation for the address to the drivers, which would include a description of the home, even specific directions on how to get there. I used to send notes to the hubs all the time with that type of info.

I had to fight with FedEx for literally two months because my place of employment would send a weekly package to a business whose address happened to be next door to their local FedEx store, and 8 out of 8 weeks they failed to deliver. My colleague had to walk next door and retrieve the package themself. It only resolved when I started putting in refund requests for every undelivered package. And, even then, it took 3 of those to see a change.

I ordered a steam deck to my work. FedEx couldn't deliver to comercial adresses (even though every other delivery company does) so they delivered it several blocks away. Thankfully, it happened to be the house right across the street from where I was living at the time. But imagining this happening every time I order a package makes me feel like I would eventually give up on order anything.

I have a abandoned house next door to mine (123 north maple street) that is clearly abandoned. There is a cop that lives at 123 south maple street that gets lots of deliveries. I have told the FedEx driver dozens of times over the last 10 years that no one lives in the house next door and that he's looking for the cops house down the street. He still climbs through 6ft bushes to deliver them to the wrong house, then I have my kids grab them and bring them to the cops house.

So I used to deliver to FedEx home. After you scan and load your truck, you take your GPS to the office and they load all of the stops on to it. 300+ stops. Sometimes the driver can catch it if he has a regular route. But that isn't always the case. I used to get wrong info all the time. And since we get paid by the stop if you can't find the address you either bring it back or take a guess. If you brought it back they gave you a hard time. If you delivered it to the wrong house they didn't care.

I used to be able to post something on Twitter about a problem like this. The company (Spirit Air) didn’t want the bad publicity. I don’t know if X gets enough eyeballs now. You could also try your state representative. At least here in Massachusetts my Rep has been very helpful in resolving lots of problems like this.

As a former fedex employee I can say how this happens fedex doesn’t actually employ drivers through the company they are all temp workers they are contractors that do not have to answer to fedex. It’s always a problem when employees don’t have to answer to the company. It’s a bad customer service trying to save a buck.

We have clustered mailboxes across the street from my house, so my neighbor often gets packages addressed to me because his house is physically closest to the mailbox. I put in complaints and nothing changed, but ever since I taped a note to the inside of my mailbox lid that says 'my address is across the street,' they actually walk stuff over there.

I work for a state agency, one of our other regions had to mail a case file to our region because the consumer moved. So they address it to the new office but for some reason FedEx changed the address to the gaining Supervisor’s home address and not her work/office address. The sending office does not know the Supervisor’s home address and did not use it so where did FedEx get it from? They (FedEx) changed the destination address after they picked up the files but we don’t know why? Luckily the office is in a small town and the gaining Supervisor lives in that same town. But how or why was the delivery address changed and how did they know our Supervisors home address? The supervisor doesn’t regularly order online for deliveries so she is unsure how this happened? And we don’t know why they chose to change the address from the office to her home? She called FedEx and could not reach anyone, placed on hold or it hung up on her. Never got an answer.

This is very easy to fix. Have a friend on the far side of town ship Travis a package of cookies with no insurance. Do this three times to allow package thieves to get used to the size and shape of the FedEx package of cookies. Now insure the package for $1000. It'll be $8.75 for the extra $700 of insurance over the basic $300. FedEx only needs to make the same mistake *_ONCE_* and all the pain and suffering of the last 6 years will be fixed. Then keep doing it until they either learn their lesson and fix it, or Travis has to declare his profits to the IRS. And if FedEx blacklists him, then so much the better.

At least, he’s getting some of his packages. A lot of my friends who owns small businesses use UPS and they’ve been having it stolen. Now something could be tracked every day then when it’s not tracked, that must be the person that stole it that driver who is in that area which I could be wrong, but I mean yeah, we know we live among thieves, but it’s awful to see it almost every other week. There’s a couple of my friends have lost or their packages aren’t arriving at the customers place. Service sure isn’t like it used to be and people wonder why we like the 50s and the 60s so much better.

It's probably the mapping app. Where I live there are 2 different routes forbidden to tractor trailers. One is a very winding, narrow roadway that also has some steep inclines on it. We actually saw an overturned tractor trailer on there about 2 weeks ago. The other roadway has a very steep incline that leads to a stop sign. I've lost count how many have come down that hill then couldn't stop. There are plenty of warning signs. Most are coming from a Walmart distribution center lol

I miss the days when you could actually choose who delivers your package. Fortunately, FedEx isn’t often what is used for my packages but when they are, there’s always some issue with the tracking or the package itself, or it gets delivered to my neighbor. They’d probably be out of business if people still got to choose the carrier.

Our local FedEx Express driver knows where our house is, and has delivered packages properly several times. The non-Express driver, however, can't seem to read. They left a high-end computer at the wrong address (correct complex), where it got stolen. Another package went to the correct UNIT - but at the wrong address - the hotel next to us. That package was also stolen. The odd thing is that the hotel has its address in big numbers right on the front of it. We've had more than a dozen packages misdelivered by this driver, with no resolution. And the thing that makes it worse? UPS and DHL have never had a problem finding us. Go figure.

The really strange thing is that all of his packages shown in this video were labeled 343 West 300 South. So why would every single label that is printed for a variety of companies in vastly different locations be printing out that exact same inaccurate way for all of them? Seems like an easy corporate computer glitch to fix.

We had the police show up at our address at midnight, serving a warrant for a man we had no idea who he was. As a curtesy, because we really wanted to make clear, we didn’t know this man. We let them search house. To end any suspicions, all we could think of either man lied about residence or our rd went through so many Counties. Could have been same # just down the rd. Wouldn’t have been first time, others had pulled in looking for someone else.

I'm dealing with the same issue. It's only been about 6 months for me, but it is completely because my driver does not want to come to my house. And FedEx is backing her and they just keep putting my packages on their truck for 3 days and then sending it back to the shipper. Never trying to deliver. Never even come in close to my house. He is so right you are at their mercy and I cannot believe that FedEx just continues to allow this to go on all over the place!!
