It’s unbelievable how immensely talented Michael was and the fact that this was way before Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad were released. He was born to entertain.

Thanks for posting this. I am one of the dancers in it! I'm the one who slides between his legs in the beginning and starts dancing on the right of the screen in the second half. Loved doing this number with Michael. Such a talent. He had by that time memorized all of the old Fred Astaire routines that he could find. Gifted, shy, but also a very hard worker. I found him to be a really nice young man at that point in his life. RIP.

I think people don't know how well rounded a dancer/performer mike was has been throughout his career...it's quite amazing seeing him from a young age til his unfortunate death, the progression and studied moves he did especially around this time period!! I wish he would have carried this further along in his rise to the top cuz this is amazing to watch and know how much he gave credit to the great ones that came b4 him that he always gave credit to to become the entertainer he was, R.I.P. mj...you were and are and will continue to be the G.O.A.T., they're wouldn't be any of the singers and dancers we know today without this man!!!

The Jacksons is an American variety show featuring the Jackson siblings (except for Jermaine, who was signed to Motown while the Jackson group was signed to the Epic/CBS record label). It was the first variety show where the entire cast were siblings or an African-American family. The thirty-minute Wednesday evening show began airing on CBS as a summer 1976 show and it continued into the 1976-1977 season, finishing on March 9, 1977, after running for 12 episodes As with the Jackson 5 regular performances, Michael Jackson was the lead performer in musical and dance performances. Despite the public acclaim following the early episodes, he was not enthusiastic with the overall project, later calling it "a dumb move" and adding he "hated every minute of it".

Sadness had been close as my next of kin Then happy came one day, chased my blues away My life began when happy smiled Sweet, like candy to a child Stay here and love me just a while Let sadness see what happy does Let happy be where sadness was Happy, that's you You made my life brand new Lost as a little lam was I till you came in My life began when happy smiled Sweet, like candy to a child Stay here and love me just a while Let sadness see what happy does Let happy be where sadness was (Till now) Where have I been? What lifetime was I in? Suspended between time and space Lonely until happy came smiling up at me Sadness had no choice but to flee I said a prayer so silently Let sadness see what happy does Let happy be where sadness was till now

The music in the first 41 seconds of music in this clip is entitled, "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat", composed by Charles Mingus. You do know that Charles Mingus is one of the most important composers and jazz musicians of the 20th century and is African American? Right? So.., how do you just leave that crucially important piece of information from your video's title and only list "Get Happy" and not list "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" first? How does that happen?
