In this episode, I discuss something I get asked a lot. What should you build to see if you are ready for a job or what should you build to convince an employer that you are ready.
It's an application that may take some time, but it will be worth it when you start standing out above the competition. A portfolio project like this can make you stand out with or without a degree. Employers want to know if you are ready, show them by preparing before the interview!
The project isn't easy, but the idea is to stand out and prove you are ready and land that first job!!!
Learning how to become a web developer is hard. If you are looking for something to make you stand out on the Frontend, backend or the full stack I really think this portfolio piece will make you land much more interviews.
The first job is tough, so taking the time to craft and excellent portfolio website and projects will really help you succeed.
It doesn't matter if you are doing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, Node.js, Java or any other web development language, at some point you will need to show a "real" project to further your career.
