If you follow this channel you know I'm a proponent of the UHF and VHF bands, be it FM, SSB , and CW even FT8 all promote activity om these bands.
I also like to support clubs in the NLI section of the ARRL that are active and also trying to promote activity and I've been fortunate enough to work with the Suffolk County Radio Club earlier this year for Winter Field Day and the Solar Eclipse QSO Party so when LIMARC , The Long Island Mobile Amatuer Radio Club also in the section started promoting a new "activity net" on the 1.2ghz and 220mhz ham bands , I wanted to showcase it.
So today's video is the inagural net on two different repeaters. If you enjoy this type of activity you may want to attempt with your club or maybe just amongst a few friends, it could be on an underutilized repeater or maybe even simplex. Consider FM, AM, SSB, and CW.
Comment below on any other types of activities to promote ham radio in general and band activity in specifics. Like and subscribe for future videos here on the channel. 73
