As a salesperson, a main challenge is getting past the gatekeeper, and sounding like the right person is key. My personal approach involves sounding and acting like the person I'm trying to reach, being direct, and being ready for any response. When I finally get through the gatekeeper, I keep it short and sweet, and my goal is simply to get the opportunity to speak with the decision-maker. Do this and you'll have more success in getting through to your prospects and making sales.
