This guy was following me so I called the police and asked: “can I have pizza while on the run?” (I didn’t want the man suspecting anything). It was scary but the police tracked my phone and the man got arrested. I was 12. Second story for 2k likes lol while I was at my friends house- she said she found some candies from somebody’s car (the guy was talking to a kid about candy at a park) and took some. I told her not to eat them until we head home because they could make her sleepy (we were at the park), and at night when she did, she said she felt dizzy and sleepy. We told parents what happened and load and behold, it was drugged candy- the doctor said she would be alr and gave a medicine for a few nights. We were 6. 3k story I was playing in the backyard, went inside, after hearing my dog barking and not stopping, as soon as I walk in, it’s like a movie happened- a gun shot as soon as I walked in, my dog was limping and blood came from his leg. Yeah I grabbed a knife and threw it at the man in my house and it hit the arm with the gun- he hasn’t been caught yet, and this was a few weeks ago. 4th story because I just remembered. Nothing too scary this time. I was 8 1/2 going through California with my family for a drive home, when they stopped to go exploring. I went into a field and saw a snake, and I picked it up. Didn’t hiss or rattle its… tail… yeah it was a rattlesnake- this increased my love for snakes cause it did nothing to me and I just fell in love, started researching snakes. More of a sweet story this time.

@@Wayward_Insomniac It's mostly an American issue. Where I'm from, I constantly walk alone after dark and so far I never came in contact with these human zombies whom you don't know what to expect from. But it's true that we are very family-friendly country and the worst crime that happens around here is to get pick-pocketed. Which also happens almost never. xD What I noticed is that most of the incidents in America are caused by freaky crazy people and in my country it's the primitive people who cause the trouble. I was once almost attacked by a group of gypsies (around noon, I was going home from primary school and there was nobody else present) because they wanted 50 cents from me. They were chasing me around parked cars near the pavement until I yelled at them to GO AWAY. They got scared and ran away as fast as possible. If there were no primitive people, then there would be absolutely no crime here, that's for sure. Can't imagine living in America though. That must be a constant fight for survival.

i (13) was at a partially abandoned golf course hanging out. it's surrounded by houses and very overgrown, and people like to walk their dogs. i always bike over and bring a snack. also for context there are two rows of these tall, bushy trees, almost in a U shape but with a split in the middle. i was relaxing and watching the sunset when all of a sudden this tiny black dachshund comes running and barking at me from behind the creepy old shed with golf things in it immediately i'm super put-off because "why isn't this dog on a lead so close to the road?" and there was a lot more of the course it and it's owner could be on. so i get up to look for the owner, (the dog's bounded off by now) and it comes back, but with a different harness?? turns out there were two. they both look at me and bark loudly, then run off to the other side of the trees. i'm sitting near the middle of the second row. then i see this guy through a small clearing near the bottom who was definitely the owner. he had a black beanie on, he was overweight and near 6", with a large jacket and his hands in his pockets looking at his feet. immediately i'm like "oh shit" because he looks so off-putting, but i tried to think, "maybe this guy is just walking his dogs?" but NOPE. he saw me through the bushes because i made a little rustle with the dead leaves. we made eye contact and he started speeding up. his dogs led him around the bushes and by the time they had made it through to me he was halfway around. i immediately picked up my bike and started sprinting to another gathering of trees to hide behind. his dogs had followed me and were leading him directly to me, barking loud and growling. so i look for escape, everything's fenced in from the road, but i see a small clearing from a house bordering the course that leads into a driveway. and of course i booked it with my bike, hopped on and rode home like it was the last time i'd see the sun. the guy didnt end up kidnapping me, and maybe it was just some dude walking his dogs wondering why there was a lone 13 year old in the dirt. but then again, my dad always taught me that killers have the cutest dogs.

Happened to me and my friends once, we were walking through the back neighborhoods by my school to cut through town and get to the store, and as we came over a pedestrian bridge (was over a water passage through the island) we see coming from the other direction a swat team, and one guy in front starts silently but frantically and assuredly gesturing to us to turn the fuck around, so we did and had to go the long way through traffic and such. It ended up being a big drug bust, coke i believe, but it was at the home of a member of a local pagen biker group, where he was living with his girlfriend and her son, so there a small bit of vitriol through the town afterwards.

I was in college and living with my parents still. I had just gotten home from walking the dogs a couple miles. I waved at my mom. She smiled and waved. I went to my room, turned on the fan and laid there to cool off. A few mins pass and suddenly i hear a series of breaking plates. I get up and rush to the kitchen. My mom is throwing one dish after another into the sink with all the force of a football player. She notices me and starts raving about dishes being dirty while she smashes the rest of the dishes. All the dishes, dirty and clean, were shatterd in the sink and fragments scattered across the kitchen. Then she stomped out. The rest was a blur. My dad argued with her. She threatened divorce for the nth time that year. I just silently cleaned up every shard of plates and glass from the sink with my bare hands. I wasn't all there anymore. I was on autopilot while the storm rages around me and eventually blew over. I left after that. I lived in a rough environment for a while. I lived in an abandoned trailer on the property of someone i knew. It had holes in the ceiling and floor. Terribly infested. No AC. No running water. No electrcity for 70% of the place. No working locks to keep the raccoons out. Lived there for a couple years, getting my showers from my planet fitness subscription and getting my college work done and places where there are free Wi-Fi.

Glad you got out of there in time! God was looking out for me one day. I was homeless two years ago, last year got a home and this year got on disability and have medical insurance. Well, before disability I would still go to the volunteer clinic who comes monday mornings to the homeless shelter and get my medications refilled. Monday mornings after breakfast at 8 are usually dead and almost nobody around except people waiting to go to the clinic. When I got my medication, a HORRIBLE feeling came over me and something inside told me to run, get out of there as fast as I could go on my walker. So, I walked as fast as I was physically able to go to the nearest bus stop ¼-½ a mile away. A kind old man at the stop said hello and I learned his wife was in the clinic. Not two minutes later about 5 or 6 police cars, 3 ambulances and a fire engine went screaming down the road to the homeless shelter (which was a huge abandoned prison complex before turning homeless shelter) Last time I saw something like that was when a guy axed another dude in the skull or a time someone in a drug induced psychosis attacked people with a machete. So I would've been caught right up in that mess had I not gotten the hell out of there when I did! Thankfully the old man's wife was okay and he called her. Saying to stay either in the clinic or staff office until everything cleared out. He would meet her as soon as it was safe.

15 year old schoolboy, I was taken home by a friend to pick up some sports equipment, at his home, his older brother (about 25+) and his wife were visiting, they lived about a 90 minute drive away. I said hello and passed the time of day and left. 2 days later, I was walking home from school and the brothers wife pulled up alongside me in her car. She asked if I would like a lift, I said OK and got in, she drove to a riverside park, said she needed to stretch her legs and asked me to walk with her. On the walking trail she propositioned me, not only for then, but on a regular basis, she had a “plan”. I noped out of there like crazy. I got home and phoned my friend and asked him what he had talked to his Sister in Law about me, he scored they hadn’t said a word. I told him on no account tell her anything if she asked. After that, I saw her sitting outside the school in her car a few times and made it a habit to enter and leave the school via the “secret” hole in the wire fence at the back of the oval.

And I was talking to the principal while I had heaps of food and the “bell” went and he said “your going to have to throw that food out” then the l ok down bell rang and he told me to go into the classroom which was design technology classroom. And I was under a desk and there was fresh gum. Anyways, 20 mins into the. Lockdown there was people walking by and they had guns a knife’s, and they were shining lights through the windows. And then after 2 hours the bell rang to go home and parents couldn’t come in because we were still in lock down so we could go home at 4pm I think it was. And people got there bags stolen and people were cut with the knife’s, thankfully no one died but at least 10-15 were badly injured and went to hospital and my friend was put in hospital. so i used to have this thing i did almost every weekday. i would walk to my friends bus stop and walk with them back to their house (about a 10-15 min walk), then walk back to my house. they’ve moved now, same town but now they go to a different bus stop that’s just about a 5 minute walk from their house so it would be pretty pointless at this point. anyway, a few months ago i was walking with them as usual, we stop just a few houses down from their house, say a couple last things, hug, and go out respective ways. as i was doing this, i notice a guy walking on the right side of the street (i was on the left side) going up the same way i go to get home. he glanced at me, but i didn’t take it as much, just saw he was there. when i started to walk back to my house, he was walking in front of me on the other side of the street by probably about 100 feet or so. at the pace i was walking (pretty average pace) i started to catch up to him, so at this point he was about 50 feet or so in front of me. i noticed something… off about him. i was getting weird vibes, he kept glancing back at me and he was walking strangely. his steps were sloppy and slow, like the way you would walk when you’re super tired. i slow my pace to stay behind him. in front of me there was a house with a parked truck that overhung the curb a little. he crossed to my side of the street and crouched on the other side of it. that was when i freaked out a little. this guy, seemingly intoxicated or mentally unstable in some way, crouching where i couldn’t see him, right where i’m about to walk past? hell no. i turned around immediately and basically ran to another street, made sure i was aware of my surroundings and zigzagged my way through the neighborhood to get back home. i don’t know who he was or what would have happened if i didn’t turn around, but that experience was the first “get the hell away.” moment i had.

This was a while ago in elementary school… We were kicking the ball to the wall in recess then one of us kicked the ball TO THE ROOF… After that our class couldn’t bring a ball to school anymore… Then one another time later ANOTHER one of us kicked the ball to the roof and we knew games related with kicking a ball will get banned, PERMANENTLY! So all of us RAN LIKE IF OUR LIFES DEPENDED ON IT TO THE FIELD!

Walked in to the middle of an exclusion zone where bomb squad was looking at a suspect device outside a court house. I was in my own little world and didn't notice how dead silent the area was until I was a team of police rush me and shift me out of the area before I could even make sense of what was happening. I remember looking past the officers for a second to see one of those robotic machines looking around a vehicle. Turns out head of a biker gang was being trialed that day and someone found something suspicious. Had these police officers not swept me away I would have walked right in to the area that was being checked out.

In the 90s when I was a young woman .I went over to a man's house. And I forgot tell me to leave three times he. First in the whisper. The second time a nudge. The third time a push. I got the hell out of there. I God said his children knows his voice.🙏🏽😔 I never went over another man's house again.

Okay story time cause yeah, so I was like probably 11-10 yo at the time, and my family lived it a more country side neighborhood, it was quite most of the time and people where really nice there, it was a fairly big neighborhood to be honest, and me and my sister went to a school that was about 15 minutes away so we had to take the bus because my mom worked as a e.a at a different school and had to leave at 6:30 am, and my dad didn’t have a license, my bus stop was on the side of the road just down the street from my house, beside a few houses in like the middle of the neighborhood by a Catholic school that was being built at the time, me and my sister would wait and usually 5 minutes later 2 guys, a girl and her sister came as it was a school bus stop, we where friends and talked so all good with that, but that morning we went outside walking to the bus stop and noticed all near the entry’s of the neighborhood where closed off police where blocking it and they’re where 2 cars patrolling around my block, me and my sister where scared shitless and one of the police cars that where patrolling pulled up to where we where standing and rolled down his window and said “get inside your house okay? It’s not safe out here.” Me and my sister nodded and ran back to the house still very confused and scared we told our dad what was happening outside and he locked the door and we stayed in the living-room, later when my mom came home she asked what happened my dad explained and after that there was mail on everyone’s door and it was from the police station, and apparently there was a man with a gun walking around my specific block and killed 2 little girls and there mom and that’s why the police where there because this man was ruining around the neighborhood with a gun.

For me, mine was not scary, but very awkward a close friend of mine passed away And she instead of having a funeral, had a celebration of life her biological mom and dad got a divorce when she was four years old both of them got remarried and most divorced people. The families did not like each other dad got remarried to a nice woman. The mom got married to a lovely woman who was like a second mom to my friend When the speeches started at the celebration Mom’s family did speeches first, but then dad’s family started doing speeches. The first person was the Jets family to do a speech was my friends aunt. she said, and I quote “ I just want to say we all miss her not only her moms side of the family” my dad looked at me and looked at my mom and said “ it’s about to go down” it was honestly sad that our time like this, the families are fighting thay ended up getting into a big fight about it at the end me and my family left right after it finished and the biological mother and her wife we’re outside bawling their eyes out because of what just happened.

When i was 10 me and my friend were walking back to her house aftr her ballet rehearsal (i was staying w/ them a couple nights and just read my book while i waited) and we saw a swing hanging from a tree on the sidewalk, so I went over and got on it and started swinging and laughing telling her to get on as well. Then a car pulls up right next to me ( basically a metre away, and it was night so it was dark) and we RAN, REALLY, REALLY FAST. We started laughing aftr a while and stopped. While walking back from school the day after we saw the car still parked there, guess they didn't want to kidnap us 🫡
