I so enjoyed watching this video, which I always do, but when you started planting strawberries & Benjamin squealed & came running. Because he knew exactly what you were planting, my heart just jumped in my chest. It was so precious & he was so excited. I almost cried it took me back to when my kids were that age & they got excited about something. It just fills your heat up with all those memories. So thank you for sharing your family with us & helping some of us remember those special memories all mothers everywhere enjoy hearing those sounds of absolute joy. I did enjoy the rest of the video. But I did have to rewind it & play it again because my mind went down memory lane the first time. But it's looking beautiful. Have a great evening. 🥰😍🤗🤭💞💕❤❤💙💙

Had a very proud moment at our local Lowe's yesterday during one of my clearance hauls. I had grabbed a flat of lobelia when a little lady in a mask asks me don't you just love that lobelia? Yes ma'am I do it will add that touch of whimsical to my garden. She says are you a garden answer fan? As of matter of fact I am I love Laura and Aaron. Did the proven winners give it away? So you have at least two fans in OK for sure.

My son was born in August or 2017. He adores seeing Benjamin in your videos. He gets so excited. Connor is my little helper too. He likes to dig. I call him my little Ferdinand (the bull that does not want to fight), because he likes to stop and smell the flowers, or lack of flowers. Today, Connor liked seeing Benjamin in the same shark shirt he has.

Okay. I did it. I never thought that I would look for specific plants in my life. I went to Lowe’s yesterday and saw 2 supertunia Bordeaux. They were the last 2. I practically climbed on the table to get them. I was so excited to get something that I have seen you grow in your garden. I also found the snowdrift petunia vista. I bought 2 of those. So we will see how these grow in my hot humid climate in central Arkansas. I planted the Bordeaux in a hanging pot with a sweet potato vine. I planted the snowdrift in a large galvanized Trough at the gate to our farm. So excited to see if I get the results you do.

Ooh! I found lots of annuals at HD yesterday (I'm in Minneapolis and we're just getting warm enough to garden). Instead of my usual 5 or 7 geranium (pellegonium) I thought I'd try Supertunia Vista bubblegum. Don't need as many plants.

I have two HUGE silver maples in my yard, I’ve named them Mildred (Milly) and Minerva after my great grandma and her mother. They drop so much crap all year long. Right now it’s the bits from them leafing out, then it will be helicopters, then branches during thunder storms, then fall leaves by the barrel full. Then more branches during winter. But I love them so I keep them. Also, I love the box woods in the moon garden.

I had one of those in my front yard. The previous owner let it split into two leaders. I always worried some strong wind would break off a limb. It would get nipple galls on the leaves that were harmless, but unattractive.

Yes motivation for coffee with Laura and Benjamin. A fun video to watch as we get to see so many areas as you add to them. The excitement from Benjamin when he saw the strawberries was so cute!!!I can hardly keep the children from picking the few strawberries we have at the center before they are ripe, as soon as they get mostly red they pop them off and eat them lol Love the sphere you created, I am just in awe that you can see the shape and not have it be all wonky in the end. Yes that Cat's Pajama Neputa is wonderful as well as the Lemony Lace and they are on the list for the center playground!

Wonderful video, Laura! I really enjoy this format a lot! I wanted to tell you to please give the Japanese maple a little more time. I have the exact same one, and I thought mine had a lot of dead on it, but it really just leafed out kind of from the bottom up this year. It’s never done that before! I’m in zone 8b, so well ahead of you. Mine is just beautiful now. I did have a couple of small branches that did not leaf out that I trimmed off, but I’m so glad I didn’t cut it back sooner! Also, the box woods in the urns are a perfect choice, along with the annuals. The whole area with the delphiniums and the spirea is stunning! 🙌🙌💚🌿🌳

For more than a decade, I had Nepeta 'Blue Wonder' that looked wonderful and the pollinators loved it. Then they declined so I replaced all eight of them with a newer variety that wasn't going to flop as much. They barely lasted two seasons. One of the original Nepeta came back and looks great. I'll be looking for 'Cat's Pajamas' next.

Your energy is inspiring 😂 I planted 10 green velvet boxwood this spring in my foundation flowerbed next to my house-I would eventually love to have them in tight spheres like yours that you trimmed! My question is this: when do you start training them?? I (of course 💁🏼♀️) planted them with biotone and they have taken off; the new grow this crazy! Should I give them this year to just get established or start tidying them up now?

Sara Goodwin you can see Laura pruned some just before she planted. I believe it’s ok to prune most anytime but I would not prune late in the season as pruning stimulates new growth and you don’t want tender growth going into winter. Shaping them while young is beneficial.

I stumbled across "Cat's Pajamas Nepeta" at the local garden center this spring and thought "WOW!" and picked it up. I don't remember seeing it in your videos. It is nice to see how it will look as time goes on. I have Walker's Low, but I think I will like this one so much more. My kitties like them, too.
