Julianne I feel when I listen to you there is a lot internal dialogue going on. So much has happened within you as a woman and there is a letting go of the maiden self. You will never be the former version of yourself but the new version awaits and she will teach you so much. I struggled with a new chapter in my own life recently. Through my 40's and 50's I enjoyed sports like triathlons and long bike rides, hours per week of hot yoga classes till recently. At 62, the woman I was is not the same today, physically not able to keep the tempo. I struggled with that until I let go of my former self, she got me this far, now it is time to allow and love the woman that is here. I will embrace this next chapter and allow her to show me new things. Your life and Mark has turned the page in a new chapter, it will be a journey like no other. I pray you have great peace, much love and surrounded by light and many wonderful people. Blessings.

I loved when you talked about yoga as a non competitive process. I love your videos because of that : the absence of pressure, the kindness of you words. I look at you on the mat and you are so graceful and strong, but because of that compassionate approach I don’t feel at all discouraged. To the contrary I feel inspired, serene and happy to be there. I even feel like I draw energy from you, because of that compassionate approach. With a competitive approach, it’s everybody fends for themselves, and with a compassionate approach, the energy is shared.

I've resonated so much with EVERYTHING you guys are saying in this episode..... I hope this isn't over sharing, but I feel compelled to tell everyone this, because it relates directly to everything you're saying about time and patience and grace in healing..... In January of 2020 I was viciously attacked by a dog that I trusted. It was horrific and I ended up in intensive surgery and then the hospital for a week following. Up until that point, I felt like I had been at my strongest. The attack reset everything. I had to learn to walk and hold a cup again- working out and yoga were completely out of the question for months. BUT. I kept pushing and kept finding little ways to come back, and slowly, over time, I've found healing and strength again. It takes a long time and it's a daily effort, just like you say. But it's a beautiful, never-ending journey, because you can always come back to where you are. Anyway, you guys have been such an inspiration, and your videos have helped me regain physical, mental, and emotional strength in so many ways. So thank you! Love forever✨🙏🏼💗

Thank you so much for letting me in on your journey through back injury. It gives me such hope that there is life beyond injury and that "this too shall pass." When I was 14 I had to have a spinal fusion for severe scoliosis. If I had not had the surgery the doctors said I would be wheel chair bound and would not have a lengthy life of any life of good quality. I bounced back from it fast and actually was very health conscious and active (many of my excercise routines involved your videos for years). But in 2020 I found myself in and out of hospitals and imaging and bouncing through doctors with the most chronic back pain I had ever experienced in my life (my spinal surgery was a cake walk compared). My entire upper body would just paralyze, I couldn't breathe, couldn't move, and fire like waves of pain just consumed me. It took two years and a pain specialist to diagnose me with 12th rib syndrome (slipping ribs). She may think its due from a slight shift in my rib cage that was never fixed from scoliosis. The lower rib was trapping my nerve between it and my hip bone. I had to stop doing any work outs for 2 years and lost all of my muscle and flexibility due to it. My doctor gave me a nerve block so the nerve could heal and prescribed me Pilates and barre workouts. Best prescription ever! For two years the only movement I had was walking and I started baking as a distraction. Just knowing you experienced back pain and are where you are now is so refreshing. I know only God got me through that time and I'm thankful for Him. My issue is (jumping back into Pilates now) is that I have to maintain a seperation between my left rib and hip bone so it doesn't rub, many things I see in Pilates involves rib to hip connection. Do you have advice on how I can continue Pilates to heal and keep the rib and hip seperate? I have to gain muscle in the core by the rib because the muscle will help keep the rib in place. Thank you and much love❤

I really hope you guys see this post. I swear, whether it's yoga, or spiritual or something else going on in my life - you're both usually right there with the right words to either reassure me or help me get back on my feet. My workout routine has been severely lacking since Christmas, and I'm unhappy - and I've been afraid to get back on the horse. But listening to your words has given me the inspiration that I've been desperately looking for. Thank you so much.

I lost my beloved 16 yr old dog 3 yrs ago. I don't think I'll ever get over it but what truly helps me the most is knowing that I provided such a wonderful life for him & he was always happy & loved while he was here. If you think about it...it doesn't get any better than that! You fulfilled a beautiful purpose & gave so much happiness to another sentient being. Of all the people that could have had Prince it was you and that will never change. Even though they are so missed the price of having them and loving them would never be traded. Although the loss can't be changed I always feel so good knowing that I did everything humanely possible to give him a good life & truly there is nothing better that that :)......

Hi guys from beautiful Greece! Thank your tips. You are absolutely correct. I have two kids, 1 boy 5 years old and 1 boy 4 years old. I am 42 years old. So it is really important to give ourselves time.

My own experience showed that even success and reaching ‘goals’ never brought me peace- only the times when I stop focusing on the future, got off the hamster wheel of Doing and just Be with what is- peace and true fulfilment are always here and don’t need to arrived at or achieved- it’s our natural state when we just Stop 🥰. Still I see the tendency of my mind to want to keep doing and achieving, but I know following this compulsion only brings suffering, especially as eventually we will have to let go of this body, this form as time of course is naturally eroding it all in every moment. Realising that which can never be harmed or die is the only way to know peace. Thank you for your sharing- it’s a beautiful learning journey for us all 🥰🙏

I agree that distracting from pain could be useful, sometimes, specially if it's too overwhelming. However I believe it's best to lean into the pain to process and transmute it, otherwise it gets accumulated and it eventually catches up with you, anyway. So I prefer to go through the pain as it comes up, just by feeling it and being completely present with it, in the knowing that the only constant is change and it shall pass. It's a huge act of self love and its so worth it! But like with everything in life, balance is key, and only focusing on pain could be detrimental also. So for instance, say that I'm grieving a death of a loved one, I'd then spend most of my day focused on my feelings while I make myself comfortable (snuggled with a blanket on) and perhaps watch a film at the end of the day. This way the grief is shorter. I strongly recommend the work of Teal Swan on this matter. Much love beautiful souls! 😀💜🎨🙏🌕Thanks for sharing!

You taught me how to do the splits! Something I didn't really think I could do! I am so excited to see your new challenges and videos! I'd love videos that focus on prepping for pincha or handstand! :)
