Metro used to have a dedicated bus that ran from downtown Houston to IAH - it had its own lounge area next to the red line light rail and transit center where passengers could wait in a dedicated departure building outside of the weather, with flight information displayed, and even kiosks to allow for check-in. Unfortunately even though it was heavily promoted and all IAH passengers arriving/departing on Continental Airlines could get a discount the service was under-used and eventually dropped.

That's too bad. It sounded like a nice service!

The cool thing about DAL/DFW is you can also keep riding the train all the way into downtown Fort Worth!

I think a bus/train/light rail would be so helpful for anyone even the way gas is so "high in the sky" lol

That's a great point; $1.25 won't even get you a quart of gas here!

Houston is waaaaay behind the curve on this, embarrassingly so…

Houston's so spread out, and with two airports on opposite sides of a spread out city, this is the only real option. Houston's a city of cars, for sure! The trip between IAD and HOU took a while, but it was easy and inexpensive, at least!

Hey. Can we carry baggage in bus 40 from hobby

These are city buses, so they'll have much less room for your luggage than, say, a rental car shuttle. I wouldn't bring more than one checked bag and one carry-on piece per person if you're going to use the bus.
