I was standing behind Larry on that first Monday of the show - I didn’t even know that was him. Now I know and want to say a belated hi to Larry. It was a fun show and a very good one for my first aviation photography experience!

I met Larry years back at Nellis Aviation Nation and again at Oceana. He's had me switch to shoot JPG&RAW instead of just jpg. One of the things I would add to Larry's comments, is to level your photos. There's some photographers who like to offset to be artsy which is fine. But most times people don't see the unlevel horizon which takes away from a stellar shot IMO.

Scott -- you said it at the beginning -- it's about the props. If they don't look like a disk, you're not there. Planes are hard. Choppers are even harder even when they hover. Moose is the standard.

Indeed, most air shows, there are no “gatekeepers” for the most part. Some of the bigger events offer ‘photographers access’, passes, etc...thst anyone can purchase, with no need to be a part of the media, suffice it to say, those passes do cost a bit more, still worth it.

Scott, the halo around your head needs to be cleaned up. Looks awful.
