I recently noticed an influx of new Dragons dogma players lately, I realize it because th second game coming out. But omg.....some players think this game is too complicated, too hard, and complain about alot, I guess they think the fights shield is for looks, .... Not realizing it can be used to block enemies attacks, most hate the warrior because they think he can't block or dodge, not knowing fighter and warrior both have perry moves to avoid damage, These are just a couple of examples about what I am saying. People ask where is the dodge button or why stamina gets used so fast also people complain about not having fast travel lol I understand most are casual players that are used to simple minded games like skyrim, or hard-core dark souls players that think this game it a dark souls type of game, which it is nothing like that series. I can understand why people have these concerns but they do not realize this game is not some easy brainless speed run type game, I got this game when it first came out and it was mostly overshadowed by skyrim, and all these years later 80% of new players really like this game , it is sad that now this game gets the attention it should have gotten in 2012, I just hope people find your channel and it helps them understand this game better.

You put this observation very well. I started to notice something was ‘up’ when I perceived the types of pawns showing up in the Rift. Most were tiny things-and, on top of that, Guardian/Scathers. Looking more closely I saw terrible augments and skills. That was alarming since those of us who’d played since launch or even started in 2016 (PC) and 2017 (PS4/Xbone) had learned very quickly that this combination is suboptimal. Emphasis was more on looks rather than survivability. Additionally, players don’t understand how to build a decent Arisen, either. I could comment on so much more but I think you covered a lot of what I’ve seen in Discord, and in players streaming the game.

Wanted to add this: thank you for your kind words. What I cover (pawns, tips, tricks) is niche. While I have been creating content here since 2019, I’m not sensational enough! I try to be down to earth, and recommend optimized builds. Because when you prefer optimized gameplay, you find how much more fun you can have. I respect those who choose to play with lesser-known skills but when it comes to pawns, those skills either end up being spammed, or just don’t hit hard enough!

Well-I know Fighter is how I always start because of two important augments-then on to MA again. I’d like to try Mystic Spearhand as well-since I have 3K hours as MK back in the day on PS3, just to see how it plays.

A question that is not related to the video. Is there a way to get a 3-star bestiary? It is a super long, tedious process that requires many hours since no one hires my pawn. I've been there like 4 hours or more just to get the one with the wolves and the globins. If it took me this long with only two, I calculated that in total it would take me more than 50 hours of gameplay just farming and killing mobs

I understand. Right at this moment it’s difficult because so many veteran (and new) players are playing Dragon’s Dogma 2. Most bestiaries have three parts: Knowledge Scrolls, “flags,” and probably the dread of all-kill counts. Normally common enemies like goblins and wolves are gotten easily because newer players hiring newer pawns are walking everywhere at first. So the kill count then becomes the easiest part for those ‘particular’ enemies. Knowledge Scrolls teach particular tactics. Flags are associated with specialized tactics. Try varying the composition of your party; use different weapons (rusted, elemental, golden, aneled). Believe me I understand the frustration of all of this-I returned to PC play from console at a nadir in the game. Hardly any concurrent players on that platform as compared to the other. It was an uphill trudge. Still-I persisted. Two words of advice then: make sure your pawn stands out in other ways. Best gear for their level-maybe even some fashion choices. Best augments and skills. Make absolutely sure they have THE best weapons or weapon. I’m sure you have already taken care of joining a social app like Dragon’s Dogma Central Discord. It hosts an online pawn hiring hall to Reddit, two Facebook groups, and of course the Discord server itself. REGISTER your pawn there. Create an alt account. Sounds like a lot of work but if you just start the game from the beginning, with your MAIN account pawn as a hire, you can earn it lots of RC and bolster kill counts needed. Additionally if it was some simple flag you missed on your main because you were just learning the game mechanics yourself, perhaps your pawn will pick up what it missed. Are there some ridiculous numbers needed for certain enemies? Yep-not gonna lie about that. Players who never played DDDA will try it out at some point (hopefully). Until that day, if you want to have fun, just play the game and enjoy yourself. Worrying about bestiary knowledge can take the joy away from a game with wonderful combat.

For the early game, mid game and end game, what inclination should a strider, a sorcerer and a mage have? For example, for a strider would it be useful to have utilitarian in the late game? or is utilitarian only useful for sorcerers?
@Gemmalady

I set up my Strider as Challenger-Scather at end game, because I have them play as a STR-based character, so they go Fighter 1 - 10 and Warrior 11 - 200. For mid-game, I would do the same, but I typically don't have my own pawn, that is going to be the Strider, play Strider from beginning to end. You can, of course. Then Challenger-Scather all the way through. Utilitarian is more for strategic-tactical pawns like Rangers, Mages, and Sorcs

@@Gemmalady so the third and fourth inclination should be mitigator-utilitarian or mitigator-pioneer? Thank you for all your answers, I am learning a lot thanks to you
