In this video, I show you how to get started automating your Mac with Keyboard Maestro.
Like a lot of automation tools, Keyboard Maestro uses a trigger-action system (similar to Zapier and IFTTT). For example, common types of triggers are: launching an app, keyboard shortcuts, changing wifi network or connecting a USB device. Once the trigger occurs, KM will perform actions e.g. launching apps, moving windows, simulating keystrokes and more.
I use Keyboard Maestro to do things like:
• Quickly mute my mic on a Zoom call.
• Search email in Mail.
• Window management and moving windows.
• Turning on do not disturb when I launch Zoom/Garageband/Screenflow.
