I feel as if for the setup you have here a simple midi through box for $40 would do. What I am looking for in the MidiHub is all of the possibilities to use it as an effects unit, or a sound generating unit, etc...

I too have used the MH to replace my merge and thru boxes, but haven’t got any further than that. Are you planning more videos in this series?

Sorry no, as I have now moved on to a bigger setup and due to work commitments, don't have the time :-(

@@enigmasounds never mind, I think I have some ideas about what to do next. Thanks anyway.

I feel like the Midi hub can be very useful in many studios :P

Hi - thanks for sharing this. Possibly the tool i have been hoping for for a while now. I too have been using a Merge box with 2 Midi inputs -> Midi Thru and out to some hardware - works fine but if this can do the same I could be very happy. I assume (at 1:39 in your video) there would be no problem with adding the same list you have there but with FROM B - TO A, FROM B - TO B, FROM C - TO C....etc?) - using the device as a merge? Also - I noticed you are running Ableton at the start, from what I can understand the device shows up as virtual midi devices (4 midi ins, 4 midi outs) in ableton? Have you had any trouble using this via abletons "external instruments" or does it all work smoothly? Again, thanks for sharing. Best Regards

Yes, you can map any in to any out no problem. I have not tried that with Ableton and only use it with my ext. synths but suspect it will work fine.

can it be set up with a mobile app on the fly, without the need of carrying around a computer for it?
