Great.. Do we have standardized framework. Gathering fleet wise - Distance wise - with standard weight..

Thank u for the presentation, I have a question concerning the categorisation of components why metallic, for example if we produce packaging what do u put in categories ? Thanks !

The assembled components and manufactured components listed in the tool are originally based on the various materials used to build aircraft, spacecraft and associated support equipment, broadly divided into metals and non-metallic items. The tool also has metallic and non-metallic raw materials. There are more publicly available emissions factors if using mass to calculate emissions than if using purchase costs and this is reflected in the tool. As part of our work to update the tool for 2023 we have added more emissions factors, which include mass-based emissions factors for steel used for packaging and certain types of plastic packaging. If there are commodities or materials you believe are missing that would apply to IAEG members or their supply chain then please let us know and we can consider these during our next maintenance cycle.

Hi, thank you for introducing the calculation tool, it seems to be useful. However, I would like to ask why the user is not allowed to add a emission factor for a specific purchase. For example, if a supplier has provided me with the emission factor of a product, why doesn't the tool allow me to use it?

Did you find a solution for this

Where did the emission factors come from on your GHG emissions calculations page? I cannot find emission factors for all scope 3 categories.

Hi Caileen, Five sources of emissions factors were used in the tool. These are stated in Chapter 5 on pages 13 and 14 of the accompanying methodology at www.iaeg.com Best regards Christer Hellstrand IAEG Program Director
