Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother has expressed his “tremendous relief” at being able to see his sister in person for the first time in more than 500 days, but hit out at the jail conditions she is facing in New York.
Kevin Maxwell attended the third day of Ms Maxwell’s trial at the Thurgood Marshall US courthouse on Wednesday alongside his sister Isabel, in a show of family support for Ghislaine, who is facing sex trafficking charges.
Last night, after court was adjourned for the day, he addressed the media, saying Ms Maxwell was “looking pretty well, notwithstanding the conditions of detention, which are now the subject of a formal complaint to the United Nations committee on arbitrary detention.”
