Engineer Cooter "Tooter" Jenkins is Engineer of a vintage steam train. He also just received an email informing him that he won a $100 gift card! Sounds too good to be true? This isn't called a "scambait" for nothing! This video also pays homage to the 1941 film classic, "The Ghost Train". Read on to see just how this scambait came to be!
In 1941 a film based on the play by Arnold Ridley was released to critical acclaim. The story was a simple, yet effective one: High jinks and chills ensue when a group of people become stranded at an isolated station and a legendary phantom train approaches with the spirits of those killed in a derailment years earlier.
Will history repeat itself? Will the group of strangers co-exist long enough to make it through the night? Do some of them know more than they're letting on??
With such a great story and characters, the film was never destined to have a sequel...but what if it did, and in modern times?
What if the story concerned a train Engineer who mixed business with his own personal endeavors? While driving his vintage engine through the night, Engineer Cooter Jenkins stumbled upon an email on his tablet. Alas! He apparently won a $100 gift card which could be his for a nominal processing fee! Cooter could sure use that money to purchase that model train set he's been wanting! Still, the ad looked suspicious. And just like our brave passengers in that old film had to face that infamous "Ghost Train", Our engineer Cooter would have to face a very real enemy; the internet scammer! Still, he decided to give them a call..
