Great reaction. Ghost leader/mastermind Tobias Forge grew up in Sweden loving its too most famous musical exports - Death Metal, and ABBA. Knowing that, you can see the basis for Ghost. I'd also add in 70's hard rock/metal - especially Blue Oyster Cult in this one. But I believe Tobias is a musical genius. His consistency and attention to detail is top level.

If you want to better understand why Zenith sounds so differently throughout different parts, give the band Magna Carta Cartel [MCC] a listen - "Sway" or "Arrows" or "Savantgarde" will clue you in - as the co-writer on this one with Tobias was Martin Persner, former Ghoul and leader of MCC. The part where the guitar and drums first comes in on Zenith sounds EXACTLY like an MCC song.

I looooooove Zenith. Waited a long time for it to be available. With Faith, you should have watched the official video from 'A Pale Tour Named Death'!

Yeah, I've actually likened Ghost to The Beatles or Beach Boys before, "but goth and satanic". (And horny.) ;D Pretty good song! Hadn't heard this one, actually!
