For the first time since suffering a calf strain, Giannis Antetokounmpo opened up about the injury and how close he really was to returning for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Antetokounmpo watched the entire first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers from the bench with the injury.
He suffered the left soleus strain on April 9 in a game against the Boston Celtics.
While head coach Doc Rivers appeared to express optimism during the series that Antetokounmpo was "close" to returning as he continued his recovery, the Bucks' two-time MVP revealed on Friday that he was "weeks" away from playing.
