Mikal has a tougher assignment night in and night out than giannis. although i think Giannis is a better all around defender, mikal is more valuable defensively based on todays style of play with teams and shooters tearing everyone up from the outside. It’s a tough call honestly, because giannis would be far more effective guarding guys like embiid or jokic, but on any given night his skill level vastly outweighs whoever he’s guarding. Mikal has now had 3 games against harden which resulted in him shooting like 22%….was guarding curry a few weeks ago when curry had his worst shooting night of his career….and basically it happens over and over again.

Ya everybody on earth knew it,that's why Jokic won in a landslide,rocket scientist. Must have been aliens voting for MVP. Wow,you Buck fans sure are simpletons,& clowns. No nuance,or hint of complexity at all to any of your arguments. Pretty much just,"he's my favorite player,& on my favorite team,so he will win it." Actual common sense or reality,never enters the equation,does it? Maybe you could get a job on the Nickie Wright podcast...you'd fit right in! It's not our problem you are too dumb,& simple to figure out the difference between a regular season award vs a playoff,or Finals award. What's crazy is there are people like you,who don't get why it would be so dumb to combine both into the MVP. If you want to have an overall playoff MVP,like the Conn Smythe in hockey-thats a fair point,& idea. But it's not even worth destroying your argument that MVP should have anything to do with the playoffs. But I will anyways...If you don't get why-you really are hopeless,& clueless. By your logic,only the best players on the teams that make the NBA Finals,would be eligible for the MVP-for all intensive purposes. That's why they have NBA Finals MVP genius. Maybe they should do an overall playoff MVP,in addition to Finals MVP,or just eliminate Finals MVP,& judge the whole playoffs. But making the overall MVP dependent on the playoffs,is a horrible idea. Would you do the same with rookie of the year? Most the best rookies don't make the playoffs,CUZ THEY USUALLY PLAY ON BAD TEAMS! How bout most improved? You can only be most improved,if your team makes the Finals? 6th man of the year would just be a contest between 2 guys...the 6th men on both conference champs,are you high? Cuz even if you said the whole regular season counts,& the other playoff rounds...recency biass will mean almost always-only the teams that make the Finals would have a chance. Maybe an occasional Conference Finalist. Cuz if you included playoffs,you'd have to give far more weight to the deeper playoff rounds. But I know you never put this much thought into it...that's obvious by your simple,non nuanced arguments. Of course,you probably are Packer fans also. That's right-now it makes perfect sense! Same fools I tried telling all season-that the Packers WOULD NOT get to the SB,cuz you can win a lot of REGULAR SEASON games,cuz of Rodgers alone. He can force feed the best wr in football...but when you get to the playoffs-where matchups,& schemes are more geared to stop that 1 great WR...the fact you had a bunch of hot garbage at WR,other than Adams-would catch up to you. Turns out I was dead right...1 combined catch for 5 yds,for all those garbage WRs you had,after Adams. Now you don't even have him! HAHAHA! Hope Rodgers can learn to throw it,& run down,& catch it himself! Enjoy the Bucks 2 or 3 rounds...cuz football season is gonna suck for you simple bumpkins. Nuggets won't have a long playoff run either,cuz no team can lose their 2nd,& 3rd best players all season,& expect to do anything special. Making the playoffs alone is pretty amazing. But we will be back amongst the true title contenders next year. And in the meantime,Jokic has a great shot to repeat as MVP. If he falls short,it'll be Embied-not Giannis winning. Our NHL team is probably gonna win the Cup-or at least make the Finals,& Broncos have a way better shot at a SB this season...even playing in arguably the best division ever. Exact opposite of the garbage division you now play in. Because everybody else blows...Packers might win another division title,(though I'd pick Minnesota)-but you have ZERO chance of going anywhere,once you get to the playoffs. But at least Aaron got paid! And you probably have to live in god forsaken Green Bay.

My thing is we penalize a guy when he’s great but his team isn’t good. We’ll criticize a guy when he can make a team good but not great enough to win it on his own. But when a guy is great and has a great team, he’s somehow diminished

The thing is to understand the value of a player you have to know what’s his individual contribution really is on his team success. So you have to accurate and consider every parameter. It’s always how much one player brings to a team. For exemple Ja is injured but Memphis plays great (somehow better ?) or Lebron plays great but no team success so you can’t put any of them in the MVP race !

I love how we talk about how terrible the Nets is, without mentioning Kyries unavailability, Kevin Durant injury, in James harden leaving the squad. He speaks as if they were all there and just were terrible

Hypothetically, if Giannis wins the MVP and the bucks win the championship again this season… is he on his way to becoming the GOAT 🤔

Yes, from a huge mj fan. He would be 1/3 of the way there. But, he has that potential, that i have not seen in anybody (inc Le Bron)

Now Jokic is the the 5th seed, and has only 1 less win than Giannis and Embiid and can finish with a better record, but worse seeding.

As a casual fan, I wonder if you put the head to head records of only these East Conference teams against each other this season...who would have the best overall record? Heat, Bucks, 76ers, Celtics, Nets and for fun let throw the Raptors in there....
@MapleLeafMoPaRs

Against those teams the Raptors are: Heat 2-1, Bucks 3-0, 76ers 2-1, Celtics 2-2, Nets 2-2 so the Raptors are 11-6 against the contenders in the East.

Idk if khris Middleton can average 20-25+ ppg and Giannis keeps his pace Bucks win. If Bucks rematch vs Suns I think THAT will be tougher. But considering an injured Giannis still malled them 🤷🤷🤷

@@4realjacob637 Middleton don't have to avg 20+ cuz jrue is there too ...anyone of the big 3 can drop 30 on any night ...and they have depth coming off the bench that can score 20+ in pat, ibaka, and portis so yea ✌🏾✌🏾

When a series only goes to 5 games, where the opponent wins one game it's a gentlemen's sweep
