LACRAWFISH.COM That thing was huge👀 🚧 When the government initiated the construction of I-49 in Louisiana, an enormous amount of dirt was required. To source this dirt, they excavated reservoirs known as “bar pits.” Serendipitously, this turned out to be a boon for our operations. These reservoirs, once dug, would naturally fill up with water and became thriving habitats teeming with native wildlife. When natural rainwater from the canal runs low, we can tap into this reservoir as a reliable backup. As the reservoir refills naturally during the wintertime, it provides a sustainable alternative to relying on well water. 🎣 Another delightful advantage of these reservoirs is the recreational opportunities they offer. We can indulge in fishing and catch an array of aquatic life. For instance, as demonstrated in the accompanying video, you can witness the catch of an impressive alligator gar from these very waters.
