Yup. It's one of the things I love about dogs - it's easy to read their body language. And this one is behaving super relaxed. Can't see it's tail or back, but it's sitting so clearly not in a state of agitation or attention. The ears are not back or twitching. Even it's eyes/head show it's not really paying attention to anything in particular, just sort of casually looking around. Only way it could be more chill is if it rolled over on it's back to show it's belly 🤣.

Actually alphas are not what people commonly think they are. The scientists who originally described this pack structure have gone on to realise it was flawed for a few reasons. Dogs can still be dominant/submissive but not in the same way as originally described. Currently we realise that the dominant/alpha wolves in the wild are usually a parent/the parents. Dogs are also different than wolves in quite a few ways. Don’t get me wrong, you do need to be in charge of your dog, but the dominance theory as we know it is flawed. So the original comment is pretty accurate, as a human parent would be the “alpha” of their children.

Years ago a friend of mine and his family had a Rott named Rommel. Big old pumpkin headed boy. One day as I was going over to his house, which was behind mine on the next street, in my slightly lifted pickup. This is a residential neighborhood and people actually kept a slow ride thru there due to kids running around. His son, Jeremy, about 5 or 6, had fallen off his bicycle and was down in the street. There was a car in front of me, I could see over its roof, but I couldn't get around them. From the right and over the 4 foot chain link fence comes Rommel down the driveway and plants himself between the car and Jeremy. He sat there with this "look" on his face like "go ahead, I dare you". The car stopped, I helped Jeremy out of the road while Rommel just sat there blocking traffic and when we were clear, he came back into the yard. He sat down and looked at Jeremy as if to say "you okay buddy?". Great dog.

A jak jest po słowacku "Jesus Christ"? Po polsku "Jezus Maria" tłumaczymy na angielskie "Jesus Christ". Nie słyszę dokładnie co mówi dziecko na filmiku, jestem ciekawy :)
@mariannahennelova7470

@@filipblaszczyk5563 Po slovensky je "Jesus Christ" - "Ježiši Kriste". The same. Although, in Slovak we use both "Ježiši Kriste" and "Ježiš Mária". There is not much diference. V angličtine nie je výraz "Ježiš Mária". Oni majú iba "Jesus christ" they dont say "Jesus Maria" If the girl said" Ježiš maria", I would still translate it to "Jesusu christ" But... To dievčatko vo videu hovorí "Ježiši Kriste" , nie "Ježiš maria" Takže som to preložila doslovne. Napísali ste mi po Poľsky, tak som zmiešala trochu Slovenčiny s Angličinou. :)

For one , it's way cooler in hot weather than a fabric or leather collar is and it is definitely way cleaner too plus it's also very loose fitting
@thelittlestgiant
Жыл бұрын
@@christophergallagher3845 First of all, it’s not loose-fitting. Where do you see the chain loosely hanging away from the dog’s neck? Second, basically everyone in the dog industry, whether a veterinarian or people who train/board dogs, will tell you a metal chain is a bad collar. It can cause serious injury if your dog pulls too hard when leashed, and in general the chain links will grab and yank the dog’s hair between the metal links on a regular basis. When people wear a super loose skinny metal chain with tiny links on a bald hairless neck, that’s very different. Lastly, that’s not even a smooth chain intended to be used as a dog collar, it’s literally a length of cheap metal chain the people probably bought from a hardware store. The people are probably using it just because they think it makes their dog look more intimidating and cool, without thinking about the fact that it’s not comfortable for their dog.
@christophergallagher3845
Жыл бұрын
@@thelittlestgiant first of all that owners dogs probably send more on feeding it than you spend feeding yourself . It's a thin link chain it's not an industrial chain you're making it out t be . And finally my neck is hairy as fuck I'm like a wooly mammoth and my different types of chain never bother me and I wear them while I sleep at times You trying to say this DG being mistreated and badly looked after when in fact it's probably looked after better than you 😂 the clearly a beautiful specimen well fed and groomed Have a nice day 😀

Adult is there to both supervise and educate the kid that yes, this big dog has big teeth. This dog was chill enough to stay put and allow the tiny human to cautiously see the teeth for herself. Child seemed to be (I don’t speak this language) gentle and cautious about it as she learned. Both kid and dog where praised for being chill and patient with each other, probably built some trust between them.

Cane corso was bred to be a bodyguard dog. The pit bull was bred to take down Bulls by biting the neck and not letting go until it dies.
