Great video Dale! I watched this with my daughters and they loved it - especially the part where you're throwing the blocks AND catching them. Your video editing and planning probably takes as long as the project itself - great work all around!

Thanks Gene. Tell your daughters thanks also. Yes, filming generally triples or quadruples my project build time, but a lot of that is I have a lot to learn about time management and planning the builds. Then editing takes many hours as I'm not a pro and don't know all the shortcuts yet. Often times, though, I do have more fun planning the scenes than building the project.

Love your triple threat game, stand and plus the carrying case on wheels vs carrying it around. I made my game the giant 3.5 x 10.5 and the case out of scrape crates and stained in red, white, and blue and the blocks the same colors. I am make my third one now. Two of them I gave as wedding presents for their outdoor reception party game. They are a big hit. Thanks for your entertaining video. I wish you gave your demenisions of your handle.

Nice work! Only thing missing is a way to easily stack the blocks squarely. I’m thinking of making a case similar to yours but no handle or wheels and make the top slide out so I can turn it over and use the case to stack the blocks quickly then pull the case away. Only downside is the case can’t be used as the base. If kids are playing it that’s ok because the case would be too tall of a stand anyway.
@BronkBuilt

I was thinking something similar but ram out of time. I was thinking of something may have two sides and a bottom took stack and slide out like you are thinking but works also fit in the case/stand to store with the blocks. Didn't have time to try things to see if I could come up with something that would work.

You are very good at what you do, so keep up your great work and builds, and well done on this one. Barry (ENG)

Like the box, but wonder if you came up with an idea to remove all standing pieces from box to game-ready position, like maybe a way to easily remove bottom? Mike
@BronkBuilt
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, it works better than expected and moving the blocks is far easier than I expected. Especially since they end up being quite heavy. I did think about creating a template with two sides and a bottom that could fit in the box and the blocks in the template. That way the idea was that you could simply pull the template out with all the blocks setup, then slide slide the template out from under the blocks and be ready to go. Turned out it was a bit too heavy for many people to do that and setting up manually takes less than a minute or two.

Sorry to hear that that my video has made you NOT want to build the game. You can certainly do it easier than I did. Some have simply cut the 2x4's into pieces and did very little sanding. That game does take some time as it has a lot of repetitive tasks but it is easy and the game is a ton of fun. Hope you change your mind and give it a go.

@BronkBuilt
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I'm sorry I do not have written instructions. I can see if I can come up with something for the case. For the blocks it is simply cut a bunch of 2x4's so that the length is 3 times the width and sand and sand and sand.

@@BronkBuilt Anything on the case instructions? I'm thinking of making the box side extend to attach the handle instead of the add on piece you use to hold the handle - Any thoughts?
@BronkBuilt
4 жыл бұрын
@@JosephASorrentino If I'm understanding you, instead of the flip handle that I did, you want one that simply exends up and down. If so the first thing that would come to mind is something very similar to the front I made. Build the box as I did, but the sides could extend past the the back of the box a half inch or so. Cut a dado on each side, just like I did the front and slide a board in the dado so it can slide up and down. I'd have to think a bit on how to put in a stop so it doesn't simply slide all the way out like the front of my box. I have no idea if I'm explaining this well enough at all. Let me know.
@JosephASorrentino
4 жыл бұрын
@@BronkBuilt Thanks for your response - that is a good idea also but no - you use 4 pieces of 1x1 on 2 on each side with a through bolt - I was thinking to make the side deeper to extend past the back with a bolt through it so I could loose 2 of the 1x1 and just attach the flip handle to the side.
@BronkBuilt
4 жыл бұрын
@@JosephASorrentino Ah, now I believe I see what you are saying. Extending the sides past the back a bit like you said should work. Make sure you measure well and test where the bolt will go so that the handle has room for full motion.

I would love to make this holder for my game but I have one question, what are the dimensions you have for the handle the one I make I just put the pieces in a carrier you pick up and the game weighs 65 lbs.
@BronkBuilt
5 жыл бұрын
I hear ya... I didn't want to be carrying all those blocks either. They do get heavy. Here are the heights that I think you want do know: - Height of case: 26 inches - Height of case and handle fully extended: 39.5 inches - Length of just handle, including top and bottom portions: 26 inches - What I would have done differently: Place a locking mechanism like a simple latch where the handle folds. It's not terribly inconvenient but having that pivot point lock in some way would may tipping the box on the wheels much easier. Hope this helps and let me know how yours turns out.

Why not mill them before you cut them to 9"? You're just adding an unnecessary step. It's a great build though.
@BronkBuilt

Great question. It's because the 2x4s were anything but straight. To mill them first would mean taking off more material than I wanted to. Now, I could have done maybe 2' sections at a time but just did it this way.
