Best sight fishing hole ice fishing video I have seen on KZitem. Better view then Clayton Schick and Uncut Angling have ever shown. Thin ice eh boys, you guys are fearless walking and kneeling down on the edges of the sight hole you cut out. That looked like 2 to maybe 3 inches of ice tops.
@fivefishlimit1034

Bob Witt thanks, the ice was about 5.5inches that day but it looks thinner in the video

If i win the spot awesome, if not i appreciate all the tips n info you are providing for people. Ive watched the video several times n have definitely taken away several things im going to try to put into action tomorrow. Supposed to be bitter cold but the fishing charts look good. Hopefully that wind doesnt fuck the ice up to bad out there. Hopefully the crack at BBP doesnt get worse.

LOVE. the sighting holes. It's the best way to get the fish IMO. people get so concerned about marking them and forget that there are 50000 holes every weekend on simcoe that FREEZE over in hours. Stay off the ice if your so concerned about holes like this cause your clearly not prepared to save your own life.

Hey man, awesome vid as always. For a beginner ice fisherman, are there any common knowledge walk-able areas that have whitefish on simcoe that you're willing to share?
@fivefishlimit1034
4 жыл бұрын
Carl S almost all of the drop offs by access points in kemp bay have whitefish and lake trout (80-110)ft if u want to go shallow allot of people do well on rocky shoals near the shore like those by oro reef or of 9th line shoal or BBP, but these are all really well known spots and get over fished pretty fast so if you do go to one your best bet is trying spots were there’s no other huts near buy. It really helps to get away from the crowds when the bite gets tough.

Looked like a great day. Usually when cutting large holes in the ice, before leaving always mark the holes with a small twig or branch. Just so other fishermen don't step into the hole, cause that makes for a bad day.. Have a great 2021 icefishing season 😎🎣❄🇨🇦
@fivefishlimit1034
3 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree with that, i do mark the holes when at the end of the day, didn't think to include it in the video but will in future ones as your not he only one to have this concern. I also have a pretty good system for repairing the holes. i take the pice that was cut out and slide it back into place, then theres much less surface to freeze. it works pretty good, on a cold day you can walk over the hole within a few hours. thanks for the comment hope you have a great 2021 season, tight lines.

Great video, great spending time with your dad, me and my dad fish and hunt together, and i cant ask for a better partner. Been up to simcoe few times trying to have a decent day catching fish with him but just never seem to find the fish. hard to find the right spots. Would be thrilled to bring my dad up to simcoe this weekend and bring him to the same spot you guys fished. Thanks again and keep on making those great videos!
