Great and complex job. Nicely done. Dear colleagues, your video helped me to solve some problems with making also giant bag with popcorn here in Belgrade, Serbia. Thx for selflessly displaying and describing your great works.

This is fantastic! I am thinking about learning more about creating large, foam and fibre glass sculptures for personal projects as I love being creative and learning new skills. You make this look so rewarding and so much fun, really inspiring stuff! Thank you

Great video. Our customers enjoy taking pictures next to one of the three large outdoor popcorn boxes that we have on property. Our kernels are currently made with great stuff. Unfortunately the kids like to break off pieces over time forcing us to constantly repair and redo the tops. I like the Shape of our kernels but would like to use your technique of applying sticky back foil and fiberglass. What type of fiberglass did you use? What type of durable outdoor paint would you recommend? Also, any suggestion on how I can secure the popcorn together then to the wolmanized plywood top that we screw into place? Thanks again for an awesome video! DW

Love your videos! Very informative. I’ve been watching your process and am wondering what you think of sprayable hard coat plastics via a static mixing tip like the smooth-on ez-spray jr setup for example, and how they compare to your preferred method of aluminum foil and fiberglass. Thanks again!

Hi Brandon, generally we don't tend to use plastics, particularly sprayable ones, as you tend to need proper booths set up with extra ventilation. Plastics tend to be quicker, and probably has it's advantages, we're just used to using glass fibre as a reliable strength. Plastic painted on could have thin or weak spots and still require several layers to give the same level of strength as glass fibre.

If you get chicken wire with paper mâché on it if it rains it will of course be a mess, but what if i put fibreglass over it, would that work? Against the rain and the stability

Im not sure! Maybe 80 or 120 grit or something like that? It's just to lose the polystyrene bead texture a little. We also use a standard bead polystyrene, if that helps?
