This is not repair, this is an art. I love woodwork and especially instrument working, like this gentleman does. I was in a tense state until the end, lol

Your bridge slotting jig inspired me to make my own. Thanks! It works very well. Oddly enough, watching this video I realized I got the same make/model of router to go with it. I did add a fourth side to the rails around the base because I didn’t trust myself but after a couple of uses it stays pulled back out of the way. That little router has good manners as long as you cut in the right direction. I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot about guitar repair technique, tools and “etiquette”. You often point out things I need to hear 🙂. I almost feel like a student sometimes, you respect for the instruments and builders is apparent. Even when assessing an improper repair, little time is spent complaining and we go right to the proper fix at hand. During this lockdown I have watched many of your older videos and the consistency is clear. This is an excellent use for this platform and you help me justify spending so much time on KZitem. So like so many others here in the comments section, a sincere Thank You!

Love the work. Love the guitar. On the lighter side, sometimes I think you might have a sign on the front lawn that reads, “Left handed guitars switched to right hand and right handed guitars switched to left hand, our specialty “.

Love listening to your narration. That guitar seems like you could strum a G, set it in its stand, go get a sandwich and come back and it would still be ringing.

H bought a B25 in Fort Worth, Texas about 1988 which is basicly same guitar, the Fort Worth shop Told Me it was a LG-1 when I bought it. Yhe Neck action was always Fantastic! It played like a Electric Guitar! in 1999 I bougt a Gibsin MK 53 in Austin, Texas, I Adored that MK 53, I Carried it to Toronto when I was a Hobo, 2000, it made me money.

I do love those 50s small body Gibson LG acoustics, also the 30s L-00s. I've owned several over the years, but they all had structural/age related issues that were difficult... So I reluctantly let them go and replaced them with 'replicas' made by Collings in Austin, TX, under their esteemed Waterloo side-brand. They may not have the 'mojo' of the original Gibbys, but they sound and play beautifully, and I couldn't be happier. Hopefully they won't need neck resets 'til long after I'm gone. ;)

More great artistry. Looks like the guitar was originally a right handed guitar converted to a left handed guitar by the placement of the pick guard which was not switched. Nice move using the same bridge.

This Gibson is 1 year older than me! If you did a left to right conversion, surely you would have had to replace the top nut too? I still have no idea why the saddle is reversed on all these models. Can someone explain me?

The saddle... isn't reversed?

@@twoodfrd Yes it is...it's round the other way from normal. The straight edge is usually towards the sound hole, not the bottom of the guitar.

No...I say..it is blasphemy to take a rare left handed guitar and turn it into "just another right handed guitar that was originally a right handed guitar"....A sin against all musicians....But you did a really good job though....so...what can I say. (being left handed and all) :)
