I have this laptop. It's pretty amazing. Yes, both the GPU and CPU are insanely fast. I ran Passmarks benchmark on this and here is the gist of what you want to know: Just putting the AI software into Turbo mode, no BIOS changes. CPU multicore - 22802 CPU single core - 3235 GPU 3d - 18785 (insane!) GPU 2d - 411 (abysmal, my 5 year old 1070 desktop runs over 850) on battery, benchmarks were much, much lower. I haven't installed any games yet, as I'm not much of a gamer. The screen is the best laptop screen I've ever seen. It's very sharp and can get pretty bright, and the colors look great. The surface is a too glossy for my taste and resembles a tablet screen, minus the touch capabilities. This thing gets insanely hot. Even using the software's Cool and Quiet mode. The fans are ridiculously loud and almost constantly on, due the amount of heat this thing produces. I use Photoshop, Lightroom, and Davinci Resolve. It can struggle a bit in Resolve with lots of color nodes, and when it's on battery Resolve is useless on any AI software setting. I'm not a tech reviewer and don't run extensive tests, but this is my real world use experiences so far.

I recently purchased this laptop and it has its pros and cons. Pros: The RTX 3070 runs like a champ and both the cooling and noise levels are really good compared to most other gaming laptops that overheat and get noisy. The OLED screen is beautiful and makes everything look more vibrant and colorful. The wifi is really good. I think the previous model with 10th gen intel had wifi issues but they seem to be addressed in this new model. Cons: Keyboard backlighting does NOT cover all key functions. For example, the numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) are backlit but the the special characters ($, #, @, etc.) are not so it is rather annoying to use this laptop if you're working with the lights off. The webcam is very grainy and is in the absolute worse location because it's looking up your nose. The review model has 32 GB RAM but the retail model comes with 16 GB RAM. I have noticed a very slight slowdown in Windows 10 when minimizing/maximizing apps (it's not snappy) but playing around with the settings helped address that somewhat. I also personally do not like the hinge design.

Does it has a MUX switch to bypess the iGPU? Probably unneeded given the 60Hz internal screen but nice to know. Do you know if the TB4.0 display output (if any) does connect to the iGPU? The Webcam issue is getting old. Other manufacturers are able to keep a tiny bezel up top, for this money, cant even get a mediocre cell phone camera quality? Brutal. Same with speakers, I imagine they must be so cheap for half decent ones, should atleast equal the quality and better than cell phone speakers. A wish would be for the power port to be at the back corner of the device and ethernet on the other back corner so they won't block the air vents

That being said I'm glad to see the max sized battery up from 90 whr . It might be time to upgrade soon ish however two things I wish they would implement 2k oled screen --4k is nice but not needed on a 15.6 inch screen and I think the better life would be better at that resolution The num pad-- i am an accountant and although I don't use my Aero for work I do use the num pad alot and it great but could used work overall. I bought this laptop after much research and regretted it as soon as I took it out of the box. On the good side, the screen is incredible and the review says is very fast. On the minus side: That screen will bounce at the slightest movement of your desk, you can only bend it back just a bit past vertical (those photos you see of the laptop open, that’s as far back as it gets). Zoom would often crash on me, if you do use Zoom, make sure you get an external camera as it’s terrible and it’s at the bottom of the screen. Putting an external camera on the top of the screen will make it wobble even more. My caps lock key popped off in the first week, for a key I never use that’s impressive. If you use the cursor keys, expect to be looking down to find them as they’re not marked or positioned in any way you can find without looking. Some key ports, thunderbolt and power are on the right, exactly where you would put your mouse The grill which covers the back half of the laptop bottom is unpleasant to hold. Not that you want to pick it up and move it as the battery only lasts 5 hours at best you can’t power it via Thunderbolt or USB-C. So you also need to take the 700+g power supply with you to the office. The fans will always bother you, there is no low-speed option for them, only off which lasts for 2 seconds or, 25% or higher which is loud enough to be bothersome. If you do need to send your laptop in for repair you will be quoted 15-17 business days for repair. This laptop nails the key specs, but it is surprisingly unpleasant to use day to day. I went back to my Asus G14 and wondered why I bothered upgrading. None of the features I missed on the G14, the better screen, ThunderBolt or webcam was actually usable.

Only reason I DIDN’T buy this (with the rtx 3080) is because the fans are cheap and go bad/noisy pretty fast. And the display flexes a ton. For $2500-$3k? Nah.

>no 16x10 oleds what? the dell xps line has one for this gen's 13 and last gen's 15. The port situation on the 13 is pretty poor though, and the oled premium makes the laptop 2k for a good build, while you can get the exact same processor config and an oled from an asus for less than 1k.

Looks like a decent amount of laptop for the money. I’ve had oled laptops before and loved them other than battery life. I’m curious if this one supports USBc charging (hopefully at 100w) to trickle charge on the road.

This is a great review, thank you. I absolutely love the laptop it has 99% of what I need. One huge thing missing? I have gotten use to 16.10 and can’t live without it. One thing this unit has that I’ve wanted is the number pad. The weight is a little heavy which I hate. Again, thanks. Ted

Heck yeah! Mine is on its way as we speak (only it's the 3060 version). Pretty sure the way you are with 16:10 is the way I am with OLED 😅. Once you hop on that train, it hurts going back

I have two problems: it should have 4 type A USB ports instead of 3, and this laptop should be 17.3 inches.

Matthew Moniz is right. It's a work machine first and foremost hence a 4k oled is better than a 1080p 300hz nonsense with horrible colour calibration. I wouldn't buy a laptop for gaming alone. You have to be able to use it as a daily machine. And the oled trade-off is better. If I wanna game, I can attach a monitor.

Why do beautiful color accurate OLED displays only come in 4k? Is high refresh rate low latency OLED not a thing yet? I want a badass gaming laptop, but when i play dark games, the ips displays always have light bleed. 😩

Not detailed enough. No mention of negatives of this laptop: all the keys are not illuminated / second function like special characters are not illuminated. Control Center software window sucks / half the time it won't start and the recommend software updates are behind what you already have installed. The sleep on the laptop is not good and need to hibernate to actually sleep / it is running services that prevent it from a good sleep. Speakers are tinny and not great. Nihamic sound software not that great sounding when on. Price is expensive. But this video was sponsored so you can't say anything negative .. I get it
