German fire trucks responding
A reported fire set the alarm off at the station from the Regensburg Fire Department in southern Germany. First unit out is Chief Car 2 with the Inspection Chief, followed by the Command Van, Rescue Engine 1, Tower Ladder 2 and Rescue Engine 2 ... those 5 units together form the standard so-called fire-fighting convoy in Regensburg. This convoy is dispatchedd both to reported / confirmed and unconfirmed fire calls.
- Chief Car 2: Donated by the local BMW plant, with some typical BMW striping design
- Command Van: lately got slightly updated emergency lights: the strobes on the grill got replaced by LED grill lights.
- Rescue Engines 1 and 2: apart from the number written on it, both are identical Rosenbauer AT3 apparatus based on a MAN TGM offroad-capable chassis
- Tower Ladder 2: the 2nd out of 3 Tower Ladders from the Regensburg FD. It serves as spare unit but was part of the convoy here since Tower Ladder 1 was busy with another call already.
- fire station: it's the largest one in the Free State of Bavaria. Until now it counted 47 truck bays. Currently the station is under construction, the old parts are torn down and are rebuild even larger than before. The new station will have 55 truck bays then. You can see a bit of the new part of the main building to the left side of the station already.
