a lot of y'all don't realize the grizzlies have more injuries than than nearly every team in the NBA currently... players have missed a total of 22+ games so far for the grizzlies, more than double any team in the nba. marcus smart is about to come back, derrick rose is week to week with a hamstring, brandon clarke is aiming for a return before all star break, not to mention tillman has been hurt, addams out for the season after right before the start of the season because of his knee... can literally write a book with the game to game injury report. that still doesn't change the fact that they still have a shot for the playoffs as players get healthy, and teams have to adjust defensively for ja now, and how much that opens up the game for bane and jjj. the grizzlies are a completely different team now with ja back and with players getting healthy as the season goes on

They went 6-19 without Ja. Let's say they go 19-6 over the next 25 games which will put them at 25-25 with 32 games left. It's realistic that they go 20-12 and finish 45-37 and most definitely be in the 7-10 range. Ja can 100% will them to 1 win to get in if we're 7 or 8 and I'll say at least 51% chance of winning 2 games if we're 9 or 10. So as long as we're on pace to make the play-in I say GO FOR IT because not even the #1 pick in the draft will make the team any better than as already constructed. And the NBA has pulled some "coincidental" moves with the draft lottery since it's inception in 1985 so San Antonio, Chicago, Toronto, or Brooklyn is gonna get the #1 pick. I'd bet money on that.

No matter how u feel, Ja is truly important to the NBA. It is very important that he stays straight. There is a lot of talent and skill these days. But only certain personalities can be the actual face. Tatum, Zion, Trae, Brunson, etc aren't built to be the face. And no matter how good they are, the NBA doesn't want a euro or African dude be the face. They sell them more outside the country. It was Magic/Bird then Jordan then Kobe before quick transition to Bron. Nobody else can carry that much and be true star with the right personality except Ja.

The Grizzlies are more importantly missing- Brandon Clarke & Steven Adams due to injury. Marcus Smart was brought in as a blanket, but he is injured as well. As players get healthy, this team will improve drastically. The Grizzlies don’t need draft picks, they need to trade some of the young talent already there and acquire more talent before the trade deadline. Y’all can’t be watching the same team that I am.

The narrative that Ja is by himself with Jaren and Bane is absolutely insane. And watching this game tonight proved he has literally elevated everyone's play. ALSO the Grizzlies literally had won only 1 home game this season with Ja out. Why? Because the city is depressed without him and there had been zero energy in the stadium. So the Grizzlies are now 6-8 on the road. If the Grizzlies return to having the best home court like they did last year they can easily get in the play in at least. Going 37-20 isn't farfetched for Ja and a drastically elevated Jaren and Bane!
