Kareem was schooling prime Shaq. Kareem had crazy foot work and post moves. When the only thing you can judge by are high light videos you don't see the whole picture. I get it because we are all the same way of out of sight out of mind. Most players before the 90s don't have alot of video footage because the industry had not advanced yet. For example I got cable TV in 1987. There was a total of 66 channels or so. How many had sport on them? Maybe 4 or 5. Tnt, abc, cbs,NBC, espn was just starting. Maybe fox and it did it was a new station so probably no sports yet. Any thing in the 80s or earlier was an Era of you had to be there to believe that it happened

He still didn’t have it worse than Lebron, with Jordan they were going by history. Historically a scoring champ had won a title very few times until that point, so that’s the main reason why they said that in those days.

I love how people always say Kareem had the Skyhook, like it's a detraction. He's a Big that can shoot. He also had a turn around jumper. He literately could score from anywhere inside of the arch. Shaq on the other hand was dunks and jump hooks most of the time. A Wemby sized Kareem went at Wilt, I'm sure a prime Kareem would've done well against Shaq.

How do you rank players from vastly different eras. Players develop the game over time. Can you say you're better than someone when your game is based on their game? Without him, would there be a you? IMHO the most impressive athletes, artists, and other creatives are those who made huge impacts in their discipline when there were little to no templates to draw inspiration from. If I birthed your style, how are you better?

Also klay isnt the same dude, steph is 34. But I think alot of ppl would lose respect for giannis. He may not get the it doesn't count narrative, but it would change peoples perception. Giannis is seen as a throw back that wants to compete not join up & that along with his fun personality gives him alot of resistance to criticism.

Ppl, Magic was NOT a 1v1 on ball defender. In fact, it was his one & only deficiency cause he lacked lateral quickness. Go watch full games. The Lakers would hide him on D having him guard either slow white dudes or big men..... Furthermore, with MJs legendary HOF tier quick 1st step and ability to go either way, split doubles or pull up for a jumper, there was no man alive who could check MJ 1v1....period they end. This is NO exaggeration even in the slightest sense. It took multiple ppl on D just to slow MJ down. Go watch every Bulls finals game rn, not highlights. Start from 91 game 1 vs Lakers. Enjoy

Kareem would have killed Shaq!!! People keep forgetting they had some of the most competitive teams back during the 80s and they were all much more physical. That was the Golden era of NBA centers with Bill Laimbeer, Artis Gilmore, Moses Malone, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Robert Parrish. All big physical centers. Compare them to best centers in Shaq's era that he had to compete with. Tim Duncan was probably the best in shaq's era and he won five championships to Shaq's four. In fact I would put Tim Duncan over Shaq.
