I can easily separate the work from the man. Most of the good stuff on the show was provided by staffers, guests and wackpackers rather than Howard himself. He's basically the Jerry Springer of radio, a boring, unfunny tool who just happens to put on a really good circus. The show itself deserves to be remembered positively but Howard has destroyed his own legacy and will most likely remembered as an egomaniacal sellout who alienated his own loyal audience for a bid at mainstream success, even though the mainstream wanted nothing to do with him.

I am not a tall guy, and it's kind of like the equivalent of a woman being super obese... the analogy would be something like this... "a man being under 5'9 to a woman, is the equivalent of a woman being super fat to a man..." That being said, I remember always being under the impression that Tom Cruse was 5'4, and the shortest heartthrob in Hollywood back in the 80's and 90's... always made me feel a little better about being small... but now I see that the internet is saying that he is 5'5, 5'6, 5'7, and even 5'8... but it also says it is rumored that Cruse tries very hard to hide and deceive his true height... doing cheap tricks like wearing platform and lifting shoes and camera angles and whatnot... projecting false information specifically saying he is not that short... I wonder what the truth really is... and, being such a zen and enlightened Scientologist guru, you would think that he wouldn't care about it or be self-conscious at all... shouldn't he actually embrace all his attributes and help his fellow human beings not be so focused and self-conscious about thier physics??? Instead, that makes it look like the superficial totally outweighs everything else in our wonderfull society... not very scientology-like at all... unless it's a mastery to be an illusionist... it would figure, because all of Hollywood and Political superstardom seems to be masters of illusion... 🤷♀️

The ironic thing is Howard left terrestrial radio because of censorship issues and it limiting what he could say and do. But the Howard of the last 5 or ten years would fit perfectly on regular F.M. radio. There is so much censorship going on in the U.S. right now and he doesn't seem to care. He has his money and is more interested in being accepted by Jennifer Aniston and other Hollywood pals and getting invited to the cool Hamptons parties than being funny or honest and staying true to what made him who he is. I assume Beth had something to do with this as well. He has a wife nearly 20 years younger who he won't have kids with. He has to deliver the Hollywood social life for her at least.
@ccali327

Putting aside his politics and his broadcasting from home (I understand if someone wants to stay safe), the show has so little content and has been like that for a while. Howard used to have so much content he couldn't fit it into 5 hours. You never heard vamping. There is soooooo much vamping anymore. The only reason to listen to the show is if you're somehow interested in celebrity interviews. I'm certainly not. Occasionally there is some interesting back office stuff, but it's few and far between. Sternthology has some interesting things, but they still do way too much recent stuff. I'm not sure what content they have access to because K-rock wouldn't give Howard his old shows when he was leaving.
