Officers from the Gilbert Police Department learn skills riding a motorcycle that will be used on the road, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Crossroads Park in Gilbert.
When these guys are done they'll be among the best riders in the world.

Really neat. Real black and white police vehicles and a really good police motor officer training course. Good job.

How many clutch plates got roasted in this training? I know my old R1200 Rt hated clutch dragging. I also know it's 12 hours labor to change one after its roasted.

They do it without mirrors.. Thats been been shown to throw riders of as one hit the fence I see it it.. The hand brake grab the fence. A mirror defines the width of the bike. The ride was not looking threw to the right and lost it... I've sat threw hours of this and you can now learn all the same stuff as officers for $199.00 It makes better rides and teaches you how to deal with things better. Get the basics down, and then learn to ride. There is nothing wrong with learning more.

I saw training like this in Caifornia... They train with their duty gear and uniforms. Maybe it's better to do it that way because that's when your skills will be needed. On duty, am I wrong? By the way, the training I was the LAPD...

I don't think duty gear makes a difference. The weight added from it is negligible to the whole and is placed directly over the center of gravity so no real change. Might as well train in gear you don't mind damaging.

@@jedrieke7751 Hi, why some Police do the training in uniform and some doesn't ? Thanks , from France !

@@bentoucourt Good question. I think it depends on whether the training location is secure from the public or not as well as the police department's policy. It is certainly more comfortable to train while not in full uniform when hot outside, and it helps to maintain the appearance of the uniform for when it is needed.

@@jedrieke7751 Thanks a lot for the answer. An other guy said the same thing on KZitem. If you fall you won't damaged the uniform. It makes sense for me.... even if you are still on duty ! In France we don't have monthly training, but when we have one ( one week every 5 years), we go back to the motorcycle academy and we wear the uniform. Thanks and take care.
