Here's a shelter-in-place, acoustic version of "Gimme Shelter" -- dedicated to the healthcare workers and first responders who show us what real heroism, sacrifice and leadership look like in a time of crisis.
I wanted to try something different, and was inspired by Lee Gray's soulful KZitem version of the Rolling Stones' rock classic.
"A storm is threatening my very life today.
If I don't get some shelter, I'm gonna fade away."
This video became something of a home-school project for my 14 year-old son, who I enlisted as production assistant and camera operator.
I was also inspired to make a donation to "Doctors Without Borders," an international organization providing medical and humanitarian aid wherever needed for nearly half a century. If you're looking for ways to help, and you're able to donate even a small amount, please check them out: www.doctorswit...
