Hey, man. Idk if you got the ollie down yet, but I have a trick that helped me (as someone who's recently picked up the ollie last week) Basically, the situation was that my manager has been a long-time skater, and I was a beginner. He took me to a skatepark and gave me advice on my ollies. He told me at first not to focus on the drag, and to focus on the pop, to start. Trying to pop the board up and hop a bit is what actually got me to learn the ollie. After maybe 15-20 mins of popping the board, I put in the slide, and I got, maybe, 4 inches of air? Nothing major but I was stoked Having someone around to critique and help your ollies really helps, but I hope this tip was at least a little helpful. Good luck!

I really feel that the to the Ollie is never discussed. The "pop the tail, jump and slide your foot" only gets you 2/3 of the way there. It's the subtle "karate kick" kinda flick on the very nose of the board that really levels it out at maximum height. Aaron mentioned it in another video actually.

+Renzo12345123 not only that, but there's a lot more going on than a face-value lack of expression. Despite the fact that she's apparently nervous and timid, she is focused and dedicated to giving this her best shot. She's putting herself out there and trying hard, despite her immediate reaction of hesitation. She doesn't let her fears stop her though. She keeps trying until she gets it somewhat right. I have nothing but respect for her, as well as any other skater. When I was her age, I was too comfortable having both feet planted firmly on the ground to take such a risk on a skateboard.

Hi guys! Just wanted to share my story with you. I'm a 26 year old girl who decided to buy a skateboard and start skateboarding a month ago. Almost everyone says that I'm crazy (skateboarding is not popular here, especially not for girls). Anyway, I managed to do a few ollies already after trying it for 3 days. It's thanks to Braille's videos, they help a lot so thank you very much for uploading them. I'll purchase some stuff from your webstore to support what you're doing. 🛹

being overweight actually has a small advantage in skateboarding, in the sense that you have more mass which gives you more momentum, Meaning you wont have to push as much once you get going (which is noticeable when traveling longer distances or doing lines). Worst case scenario you lose weight from all the skating.
