I'm glad you mentioned, green grass in the smoker. I always put a handful of green grass or weeds over lit smoker fuel, inorder to cool the smoke.

You’re doing a good job raising your kids. Kathleen is an attentive listener, eager helper, and is wonderfully intuitive. Keep it up. Her IQ is probably really high,by the way.

You had a beautiful assistant today. Love her bee suit! Too cute. I’m guessing that was your daughter. Thanks for another great video. I recommended your channel to Hidden Heights Homestead, as he was having a real problem with swarming. He said he’d just started watching you. Luv & Hugs from Ft. Worth, Texas.

Hello Kamon I enjoy your videos,, and about the comments of two year old brood frames,,, i had a little chuckle because i could not believe that some folks believed that they were not good after two years,,,, some people must get bad info somewhere,,, and people like yourself will help to set them on a proper path,,, im from northern alberta canada and in the early years a 10 year old frame was optimal...all brood frames were the oldest frames,, and a crop from 2lb package of bees in april would be expected to produce 200 lbs plus if weather cooperated,,, now days we change out brood frames because pesticides are believed to be to be absorbed in brood frames,,,but i still use brood frames up to 10 years unless is it is showing me that our brood is having issues,, believe me they are rare,,, thanks kamon keep up the good work....

Money is only worth so much. Glad you had a chance to spend time with the family. I finally put out some nucs last week. They are all killing it so far. Lots of comb being pulled out, which I am happy about since I want to do some splits here in a month or so.

Bees do cannibalize each other for sure. Look at when you open cells like drone cells and the bees will immediately start sucking the larva out. Very helpful stuff Caveman--haha, no Kamon.

Kamon, good morning from Lugoff, SC. Been enjoying your videos and knowledge for about six months now. I'm in my fourth year of beekeeping and find your wit and wisdom to be quite refreshing. I saw this post about Albert Zook in Lawrenceburg the other day and wanted to pass on my experiences with him. Some of my first hives came from Albert. Then during my second year of beekeeping I drove from here in South Carolina to his place to meet him and pick up a couple more hives. He makes his hives out of cypress wood, which when sealed with a number of coats of tung oil, provide a beautiful hive to have in ones yard. When I watched your video of box dipping, I didn't realize they came from Albert. He is very humble about his craft, and surprisingly young, at least to a 65 year old man. It was a pleasure to have met him, and a pleasure to spend time watching and learning from you. Best of luck in your future endeavors. I wish for you and your family a blessed and Merry Christmas and much good luck in the New Year.
