Token Bucket is a feature of MikroTik's HTB Bandwidth limitation concept. This feature serves to provide a Bandwidth bonus to the Client for a while.
Its function may be almost similar to Burst, both are used to provide a temporary bandwidth bonus to the client. But on the Token Bucket, there is no maximum limit on the bonus bandwidth given. The greater the bonus bandwidth used by the Client, the shorter the burst time. If the use is reasonable, then the client can get a longer burst. If you want to give a bonus with a certain limit, you can use Burst by specifying Burst-Limit.
In the process, the Token Bucket uses a simpler process, so it does not require too large a router resource, suitable to be applied to routers with hardware specifications that are not too large.
