Any nearby homeless shelter would appreciate warm socks. A battered women's shelter would also appreciate them. I have donated excess pairs of socks to both places, and they are appreciated. Especially if they are machine washable.

Congratulations on the move! Curious to hear where you are going. I wish you all the best of luck in the next month with the moving process! What a generous gesture! And amazing that you are able to let go of so many things! I’m currently reading the book “Craftfulness”, where the authors believe creative making is a form of mindfulness. It’s more about the process of making than about the finished object itself. Which is exactly what you seem to be doing here.

Oh my goodness that was such a fabulous hand knits fashion show of absolutely beautiful work! I enjoyed seeing it so so much. It provided me much more food for thought on my own “capsule wardrobe” plans. I will be going through my own finished objects and reviewing them, washing them up even if I haven’t worn them and gifting the ones I am not keeping. I’ve knit a lot just for the fun of it and like you find while I enjoyed knitting shawls I never wear them and have already gifted all of those except one which I am now prompted to let go as I have never worn it either. Also considering that hey I have never knit myself a cardigan and want to. Thank you as always for the suggestions and inspiration.
