This week's repair and restoration project is the revival of a WWII-era butcher knife manufactured by the W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company in Pennsylvania USA. The stamp on the blade tells us that it was produced sometime between 1940 and 1960, so it is anywhere from 60 to 80 years old. Although the blade is very rusty and slightly pitted and the hardwood handle is dry and rough, overall it is not in bad shape.
This project is more of a revival or super cleaning than maybe a full restoration but it still required a little (a lot...) of cleaning, sanding, polishing, and sharpening in order to bring it back to life. It is the perfect project for my first work on camera.

Welcome to Restorology! This channel is dedicated to the revival and restoration of old, worn-out things that others might consider junk. Projects may range from a simple cleaning to a full out rebuild of something I found thrown in the bin that may still have some life left. I am creating this channel so that I can share with you what I learn and maybe entertain you as well.
Everything you see in this video is a learning experience for me. Please comment and critique my style, videography, even sound, and please leave suggestions for future content or ideas on how to make the experience better.
Thanks for watching and again welcome to RESTOROLOGY!
