Not the best start to our trip to Portugal for the Clube Norte x4 Gladius race. Our support vehicle broke down in Plymouth on our way to the Ferry, but luckily we were saved by Hilltop Garage who came out and diagnosed a Cam Shaft Sensor issue. By pure luck after finding no local suppliers had the part we found an old Mercedes van where we broke down that we were able to salvage the part from. Just as we got off the boat in Santander, Spain disaster struck again as the van blew a turbo. This time we couldn’t fix it on-site so a quick call to our co-driver and a friend Flavia from By Toucas travelled down to us from Portugal and helped us get to Portugal. We are currently sitting at his garage but should be ready to get to the race shortly and complete Tech and Contingency. We rolled in at 3.30am so it’s safe to say the guys are very tired and running on adrenaline. Let’s do this!
