That picture of the cast of Take The High Road was a nice touch - So many are no longer with us Mary Riggins and Margorie Thomson and of course the actress who played Mrs Mack .But we still have the very talented Eileen McCallum and Jeanie Fisher who played Big Morag who i was lucky enough to see on a bus a few years back - I always loved big Morag

I only realy discovered Glasgow in the early 80s having been brought up in the country - It hit me like a slap on the face - I thought it was the most awesome place and i loved the people - It felt like coming home - so a few years later i moved to the big city of Glasgow and would never live anywhere else now. But the strange thing is some years ago when i did a bit of family research i found that two different lines in my family had lived in Glasgow a couple of generations ago - So in a way it was coming home - You can take the boy out of Glasgow but ......

Looking FWD to more of 60's 70's and 80's stuff.more memories I can relate too. The wife's father worked in the main post office in the 60's so that was a nice one for her.keep up the good work.

Still loving the captions. Also love the photo of the 12 bus in St Enoch square. That bus (and the 7/7A) was my regular transport back to Calder St. I'll never forgive them for demolishing that beautiful station hotel.

Thank you, the 12 bus took me back to Toryglen many times. The station hotel was a Glasgow landmark.

Tanks sent to the Trongate to deal with strikers in 1919! So whose interests was the army serving in those days? And whose interests are they serving now?

Thought this one had been debunked as fiction and the photo is of a tank at a military parade in 1918? Great photos, keep them coming.
