Hi there happy pot lovers! I was finally able to get the kiln rewired, new elements, and even some new bricks. So here is glaze fire #12, with the lessons I learned.
Each firing is a learning process, I don't care how experienced one is. This one is no exception. I'll be re-firing several of the pieces, but also had some wins.
I put some still images with the glazes that I used at the end. I'll upload a separate video where I show each piece in more detail, and give before and after pictures, plus links to all the glaze recipes. That will take more editing.
I swear, video editing takes as much time as the making of pottery! Maybe I'll get faster as I get more experience. But at least I'm getting a little better at both the pottery and the editing. (That's what if feels like, anyway!)
Let me know if you like this format, or if there's something else you'd like to see.
Special thanks go out to @PaulaMcCoyCFE for her tutorials on making paste flowers and her Colors for Earth Color Concentrates, @SarahWaltonPottery for her videos showing her glaze techniques, @LittleStreetPottery and @hobblecreekpottery for their videos sharing ideas and inspirations which were incorporated here, and @povpottery3648 for the water whistle idea.
