Hello again from The Pottery Corner my studio near Chichester on the South Coast of England. I’m opening another glaze firing in this video - most of which is my own work for a change as we have no students at present due to Lockdown. There is, however, one students pieces and I am sure Keely will be very happy with her first ever thrown pieces after attending a course with me back in October last year. Because of lockdown we didn’t manage to get these glazed until a little while ago. Always exciting to unload pieces from any of my students as I am missing them so much and can’t wait to welcome them back when the restrictions are lifted. Some of my pieces have both Sanbao and Elan Transfers applied which is a technique I am playing with at present. I’ve also used some of Jane Scott Ceramics underglazes which are really good and much more underglaze for your buck and better than Amaco Velvet underglazes. The Great Pottery Throwdown is back on the television for its third series and I’m hoping this video will inspire you to try something new on your own work. Check out my Top Tip Tuesday videos for tips on clay related processes. If you wish to see items for sale from the studio head over to my website at www.thepotterycorner.co.uk to view items in the online shop. Course information is also available together with kiln services. Hope you have a chance to take a look. Do like and subscribe to see more from the studio. Cheers Sarah Amos
