Heard a farmer put air nozzles across the rotor. As the crop mat went underneath, it was 'disturbed' and improved grain separation. Probably ran a mechanical blower, but he said it really helped.

What did it cost for the steep pitch helical? And was it noticeable? We have a CDF rotor in ours.

Yeah it really seems to help, I think it was around a 1000 bucks, agco is proud of those .

I assume you could do those modifications to a r50/52. How much difference do you see? Are you able to run faster or run a bigger head?

Any speculation as tho why that hump is there? And why it took them so long to do this from the factory? The last year of the 5 series had the hump deleted I believe.

Yeah I don’t know why they put it there, after taking it out it made a new machine out of it, yeah the R76 had the hump out.

Steep pitch helical, after market? Agco? Part number? How do the mods do in corn and small grain? Know of any one making sweeps for a open 8 cly? Do you get more broken corn cobs, when having front of concave more open like that?
@Hinesfarm-Indiana
Жыл бұрын
Yeah the steep pitch I got from agco, could not find them after market, it works good in corn and I do rye also, works good for that too. I have the cdf rotor, not sure who makes the sweeps for the open 8 bar. No it don’t do to bad for corn cobs.

@@Hinesfarm-Indiana On older gleaners would the max setting on front of concave be same as your 0 setting? The triangle chopper blades, have you ever found a sharpened blade, (like a lawn mower) for a replacement?

@@matthewberan3404 it should be the same, what year is the machine? There is a fine cut chopper that you can get, I just keep my hammer knives in good shape.

Can you combine horribly green stem beans without plugging the concaves? 8250 case ih and we have to use round bar. The large wire won't work.
